Two things:zachariah wrote: Not that she thinks she guilty, it is because she is terrified of the Jaguar Girl! Current rumor about the Jaguar Girl has her being the meanest and nastiest force going. Able to stomp, fry. rend, tear, fold, and spindle anyone who ticks her off. Then when Cricket met her Monica appeared to make Cricket believe Monica will be her worst nightmare if Cricket messes up. All of this made Cricket into the timid little soul whole is ready to assume that if Monica is upset it has to be at her!!! With her Fae nature and age she is totally cowed and all she can think of is RUN AWAY! Cricket is not ready to believe that when Monica says the problem isn't Cricket on just on repeat.
Monica needs to sit Cricket down and get her to understand that Cricket is not a total F* up and not everything is aimed at her. A good trick if Monica can pull it off.

Nah.. in the library, etc, she is only a **beginner** And she really should d be called 'phoenix', NOT immortal.. ... she cannot take nice lava bath to get right down to the crevices... yes, Nudge hates them awfully, just like cats hate having a bath, but the outcome is good!meisdadoo wrote: 2. She wields astral fire (a quick Google search indicates that Astral fire properly wielded could permanently incinerate your otherwise immortal soul and remove it from existence). She can poit herself, you, and any other matter anywhere she wants to--there is no where you can escape. Are there beings that could overpower her and reign her in, probably. But it would take at least a Titan to do it.
If that doesn't scare, nothing will.

I did, indeed, think of that. Especially since, the day it was posted, inspired to Do Something.Opus the Poet wrote:Because the trope has already been appropriated?Thor wrote:Why was this thread not named "Awww fuckbuckets"?

And done pretty well if I do say so.
They might go for one F-Bucket so as to be family friendly. A combination would be Fucket so I doubt that would fly either.Dave wrote:Once we take into account the fact that an object's mass increases, as the object's velocity approaches the speed of light.analyst wrote:So Calista is the living proof of conservation of mass. That's from the point-of-view of an outside observer such as Monica, of course. Cricket could try to outrun approaching darkness and doom, she could try to outun light itself, but she couldn't exceed the Speed of Monica.
I wonder whether we could persuade the researchers at the Large Hadron Collider over at CERN to adopt a new unit of measure? One billion high-energy proton/proton collisions would be counted as "one fuckbucket"
That's a pretty good intuitive description, as to how the situation appears from the point of view of an outside observer.KnightDelight wrote:You know I never have found a good explanation of how that extra mass is actually manifested as an object gets near the speed of light. Apparently the energy used to propel the thing forward is converted to mass instead of forward momentum, thus creating inertia and keeping it from going faster, in a continuous loop.
Well, a big part of the answer is in the term used to describe it: "relativity". The things that we see, depend on where we're looking from. But, how does that extra mass manifest itself? Do the individual components of each atom get more massive? Or do new atoms just pop into existence, adding to the number of atoms in the thing itself? And how does the process know what kind of atoms to create? And then there is this thing about the object getting flatter, as if it is being smashed into an unseen wall. A wall that travels just ahead of the object.
Well she does age normally, but when she dies she resets to where she was when the machine was "fixed" (or "broken", depending on your point of view), so very Phoenix like, but still immortal in that she cannot be killed by the Gollum Girls, and if they can't do it--who could?illiad wrote:Nah.. in the library, etc, she is only a **beginner** And she really should d be called 'phoenix', NOT immortal.. ... she cannot take nice lava bath to get right down to the crevices... yes, Nudge hates them awfully, just like cats hate having a bath, but the outcome is good!meisdadoo wrote: 2.
