For the record, like Snoopy, I can be bought off easily with a plate of warm sugar cookies.zachariah wrote:Auntie Fae's Sugar Cookies - or - How to Kill a Dieteee wrote:I WANT FAE COOKIE RECIPES!!!!![]()
1 1/2 cups shortening
2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup molasses
2 eggs
4 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon salt
Mix all well and chill 3 hours or overnight.
Form into walnut-size balls. Place on greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
Sprinkle with pixie dust under a full moon.
Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 8-10 minutes.
[If you don't like Molasses you can substitute Karo, or maple, syrup]
Note on Pixie dust:
Any sweet powder will do. My Grandkids wanted me to use a sour stix one time. I did and THEY liked it. Thinking about the taste still gives me shudders.
The entrance is at the top of the library. Remember, the library is floating. =)My2Cents wrote:Phix lives above the 317th floor. Who would have thought it!
Silly me, I always assumed she lived on the ground floor, that's where you would expect the entrance to be. Maybe Phix lives on the top floor, the better to swoop down on intruders.
Wonder how many sub-basements the Library has?
Glad I wasn't the only one.chicgeek wrote:"Oh,boy, fae cookie recipes! Let's see...i cup sugar,I cup butter,2 cups thoroughly squished fae(save wings for decoration)...' *cue screaming and or fainting*
Sorry, I'm just picturing Cricket having a To Serve Man or Soylent Green is People! moment.

Jack Flanders: "Cannibal wafers?!"
Lady Jowles: "Ham and cheese on rye. Jives has a rare and exquisite sense of humor."
I was thinking of the Gruesomes' pet Schneider the SpiderAed wrote:I favor Boris as the name of the spider. There is even a theme song to go with it. Boris The Spider by The Who.
Jives the butler: "Long pork, Master Jack. Lip-smackin' good!"AnotherFairportfan wrote:Yay for the Fourth Tower!Dave wrote:[Lady Jowles: "Ham and cheese on rye. Jives has a rare and exquisite sense of humor."
The only better joy than torturing the kids, torturing the grandkids. nodnodAnotherFairportfan wrote:They released the whole damn' thing in its original broadcast format a few years ago free in MP3. I keep meaning to get them formatted to put on a USB stick for the next long trip Kate and i take.
Helen might enjoy it, but i'm sure it would drive the grandkids crazy...

And if she's attacked by a Capuchin monkey, and zaps it with some sort of light-beam, that would be a fae ray.Dave wrote:The only change this nosy nitpickermight make, would be to change the last word of the second line from "can" to "may"... or maybe change the phrase to "fae girl may".
