Yes - a change to a new environment can make all the difference. It's a time-honored approach to giving somebody a second chance.

Taking someone away from a hostile, threat-filled situation to a place of safety does have its risks, though. Consider tribbles.

I couldn't get any of the on-line translators to handle it. Judging from the context, though, and from the fact that Klingon is a very compact and expressive language, I would render it approximately as

"No, I would rather not consider tribbles. In fact, I must respectfully inform you that if you ever mention those miserable creatures again, I will remove your lungs with a batleth, simmer them in blood wine, and feed them to my pet targ. Sir."

RE the Princess' Brooklyn accent: She may still have it, it's just not showing up visually in her speech balloons. According to Alan, Bud's got enough of an accent that you can identify her as Greek when she speaks; yet you'd never see that from just reading her words.

This. Cricket is minding her diction. She dropped the bravado speech pattern back in the cafeteria, but still has the Brooklyn accent, just not so thick.
