What, you never heard of tangible illusions?
Or telekinesis?

Leg/body ratio is wrong. The Giant Huntsman has a LOT of leg, but a body that can rest comfortably in the palm of the hand. This monster's body is BIGGER than Cricket's hand. I'd scream "Kill it with FIRE" but somebody already did...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that spider was smaller when we first saw Cricket.
According to some sources, glamor is more than just illusion, though less than true shapeshifting. It's sort of like pulling on a temporary reality to cover the truth underneath.
Like, a glamor of an umbrella will keep you dry in the rain -- until you get indoors and end the spell, and then suddenly you're soaked to the skin. But you really were dry until then.
Judicious use of that kind of glamor could be quite useful, especially if you make creative use of the fleeting effects.

I always assumed that the various supernaturals were actually changing size and shape to their human form, not just putting on an illusion.
Does this mean that Cricket is actually still only 6 inches tall, but appears to be 5 feet? And if that's so, does that mean the fried spider is actually garden spider sized instead of tarantula?
It can't all be glamor, since when Shelly changes size and shape into her "true" form she actually bangs her head on the ceiling.
The only other explanation is that Paul T. is using the word in a non-standard way that is specific to his universe.
Cricket is making fun of having to be in human form and referring to it as something that she knows as a fake way to represent something.

If you go down to the northern parts of South America, you frequently find these guys roasted over fires and then served nice and hot. You have to be careful to char off all of the bristles, though, because they have these special barbed "hairs" that they can launch at anything that startles them, and they can really mess you up if you get the bristles in your eyes or nose or mouth (if they get on your hands, they just itch like crazy).
After eating the spider, it's typical to use their fangs as convenient toothpicks.
Y'know, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Cricket extended her glamour to her lunch - enlarging her spider (IF it is indeed a "spider," for all we know it could be a PopTart) - just to mess with Atsali. It seems like something she'd do.

I would imagine that the spiders don't find it particularly comfortable, either.

Bugs Bunny's accent has been tagged as Flatbush, as it lies between Bronx and Brooklyn.
