I recall all those, of course, but it doesn't seem likely that the paranormal world knows Mon for these things but does NOT know she's the Jaguar Girl too. I don't mean to seem argumentative or contrary, but this just isn't "clicking" for me.

One of the first things Euryale mentioned when they met was Monica stopping the time loops. So that's no secret, and that was well before the Jaguar Girl was ever mentioned.

She knows the old stuff, but she might just be unaware of the jaguar-girl stuff. Or at least, unaware of the implications.

Heh. We don't know what Kath knows, nor who told the kids about the Jaguar Girl, nor if the kids have been told Monica is the Jaguar Girl, nor even if Atsali has ever met Monica.

Aside from noting what we don't know, and what presumably related things we do know ... we're just speculating. Surrender not accepted.

Both Pickle and Atsali know Monica and Shelly. I suspect that Bud and Kathryn introduced Pickle and Atsali to Monica and Shelly when Kathryn brought them home.

Pickle doesn't hesitate to refer to them as her aunties. She is a little kid, so she can just say things that would get someone older in trouble, and naturally expects to be the center of attention.
Atsali immediately identified Monica as the Jaguar Girl, so she knows them both as well. Unlike Pickle she is at the age where the instincts seem to be adult attention = I am in trouble, more than anything she wants to stay below their radar. Then add in her insecurity problems (I am a Siren = I am a bad girl) (I am a freak with huge boobs) and a certain amount of hero worship (I am not worthy) and you have the usual teenage mess.

The solution might to be for Atsali to meet and talk with Monica in a neutral setting. Have Kathryn announce that she has to attend a conference out of town and Monica has volunteered to baby sit. Then Monica can ask Atsali if she can check her homework and get a conversation started on a safe(r) subject. Then casually work in something like “you’re still binding them to tight”, followed by a recounting of her problem with the minimizer as a humorous story of her youth while Atsali is still tongue tied trying to come up with a way to change the subject. Hopefully that will be enough to get them both to open up on the subject.

Sure, but I see no indication there that "Jaguar Girl" is identified as Monica. Bud had told her she needs to meet "the Jaguar Girl". "Monica" was not mentioned.

Ah, yeah. I meant "mentioned in the comic". I could have been more clear.

The "Jaguar Girl" was clearly known to demons, as you point out. Shelly may also have been aware of the concept; she certainly speaks as if with authority on the subject. And if Shelly knew, the entire paranormal community may well have known.

But if I recall correctly, the mundane readers did not.

We only know from these that Castela has met Monica and Shelly. (Shelly gave her a corn husk doll.) Nothing about Monica and Atsali ever meeting - though it's insinuated that Kath has told them both about Monica (and working with her).
