I almost want to put a caption balloon in a Fan Art that says, "...And in local news tonight, Twin Cities-based supermodel Georgette has been reported missing by her handlers. She was last seen getting sushi at a restaurant downtown, and then ducking into a local coffee shop - that has remained closed since Monday afternoon. Anyone with any information of her whereabouts should call..."

Yes, Google and Bing scan it fairly frequently. I haven't looked to see whether robots.txt is used to keep the scanner out of some areas, or not.DilyV wrote:Google [bot] is browsing this forum?
A week? (incredulous laughter)On a more serious note, what if this isn't in continuity order? What if this is another of Paul's filler style scenes and we haven't seen the debrief yet? Certainly he'd need a full week of strips unimpeded to work that out, eh?
At conversational strip-speech pacing, a week wouldn't barely be enough to even get started. They have a hell of a lot to talk about.
Now, it's entirely possible that they spent hours of their own time communing while still in a trance in Jaguar-space... but we've seen indications that "awake-time consciousness" is not entirely congruent with "trance consciousness", so there's likely a whole bunch to talk over (again) once they're both awake.
Just going into a deep(er) discussion of their various experiences about being raped, and how they've dealt with it afterwards, is going to be a long conversation.
The other huge topic is "Monica, just what did happen between us three here, and how was that all possible?" and it is going to require another long conversation. And, it may be one that's best left for a later time, after the more urgent issue has been talked over and the strong emotions have had time to subside. Seems to me that Georgette deserves the chance to make a red pill / blue pill sort of decision... she can accept her healing and move on with her life without delving further into the "how?", or she can ask to see how deep the rabbit hole goes, and accept that nothing will ever be the same again. For Monica... well, it's not entirely her secret to share (since Tina was very directly involved).
Paul said a hell of a lot in yesterday's White Wing strip, without using a single line of dialog. I think he chose to do so again in Moonlight... speaking and describing by implication rather than explicitly. Georgette didn't scream and run for the hills after waking up. The new rapport and trust between Monica and Jet seems unbroken... may be stronger than ever. They've had time to debrief (at least partially), and both of them seem very much at peace.
Mission accomplished (for Monica-as-character, and for Paul-as-portrayer). No real need to spend pages and pages and pages of exposition getting here

I do expect we'll learn more about the red-pill/blue-pill question in the future, possibly through discussions between Monica and (e.g.) Shelly or Phix.
This really was a close call for Tina... it's clear that she wasn't in full control of all that she said and did, and it could have turned out very much worse than it did (for all concerned).I'd like to see how Tina is de-briefing over this... and who is doing the de-briefing. Maybe she's still in front of the mirror marveling at the color change of her wings... I'm still squeeeeing over that myself.
It does seem likely that she's taken a further step towards becoming Tina 3.0 (I very much hope so!) - time will tell.

Now that they can really understand each other, they deserve a good rest.
Re: Moonlight 2013-10-25
Well if you look at it from one angle, they have just finished running from a very long nightmare. Rest is the best thing for both of them. The pin up has that "the long night is over" feel to it so it is perfect.kingklash wrote:Now that they can really understand each other, they deserve a good rest.

Oh, my.
I never read the comments on Funky Winkerbean, because whenever i glance at them, i see that half if not more of them seem to be devoted to trashing the strip, many of those in heavy-handed "clever" style.
This strip is likely to set off a firestorm in the comments...
