I must admit, I'm a little confused about who is making the skree noise.

That's what I was thinking. We've seen Monica and Tina's demons and they have a lot, too; but they might have been special cases. Jet might be a special case as well, but it's starting to look like all humans are zoos.
I wonder who all these demons are. I would have thought Grief or Fear would be the largest, based on her past; but maybe Georgette channeled those into Anger and that's why it's so strong. The motif of them being masks appears to have ended. A whole bunch of cowed demons standing in front of Jaguar Girl wearing Georgette masks but with different bodies would have been a startling sight.
I think Tar's only chance right now is to grab one of the demons it raped into submission and either fuse with it or flow into it, hoping Monica won't be able or willing to separate them or tear it apart without also destroying the demon.

Given some of the people I know, and the baggage they carry, I have no trouble that 'covey' could apply to each of us.

Phix *punched* Nudge clean out of Tina. I suspect Monica is equally capable of weeding a demon of unwanted 'guests'.

The sound of several demons being shoved across a floor (similar to that of fingernails on a chalkboard)?

Careful, Monica... in each hood or junk yard, although there's an alpha "junk yard dog", there's usually another, somewhere, that is just a little bit harder and willing to take the leader down a peg or two. That, or make them wish they had used a little bit more tact. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!!

Totally excited to see how her Demon Shepherd powers get used in conjunction with her JG and Astral Fire abilities!
KnightDelight wrote:And the Demon Shepherd stretched out her arms and lo, the demon sea parted. She did walk in the demon free zone, trailing fire and badassness. All was silence save for the sound of Tar pee splattering on the floor.
BAHAHAHAHA!!! Awesome.
KnightDelight wrote:What I wonder is how does she know how to do this stuff? Reading books, being coached, trial and error? On-line course from MIB?
Simple. You said it yourself..."badassness." There's something to be said for instinct in certain situations. If her rage is the primary factor that caused her "evolution" to this form of Jaguar Girl, then there's not likely to be a whole lot of thought behind the power being used. She could just be clapping to get the demons' attentions and then spreading her arms out to look impressive before speaking...and any power/ability that results could just be coming out from the rage and new super-form she's in. *shrugs* Then again, we also don't know what (if any) training she's been getting from Phix since she made her transformation to sub-Titan.

I've mostly stayed out of the threads of late, as this arc is a bit triggery for me(Read: a LOT triggery for me).

I was just thinking that maybe astral fire isn't what's needed here... once the Tar is located, a blast of arctic air would solidify the tar into a hard, brittle substance, unable to spread and run everywhere. It may or may not work... as "the tar" may be called that more for the resemblance than actual tar-like properties.
If it is tar-like, after freezing it, Monica would be able to castigate it at length for it's actions before deciding whether or not to end its existence.... not to mention make it possible for the rest of Jet's demons to exact a bit of revenge against the rogue part of the covey that has run rampant for way too long.

*skreeeeee!* the sound of demon nails across the floor. Monica knows how to force-filter the demons, leaving Tar behind, after she saw Phix punch the Nudge out of Tina. Maybe not how Phix did it, but she saw that it's possible. She willed it, and then did it.

The two demons on the left being squished off have to be attached to her modeling career. The skeleton has to be anorexia.
Anorexia?
I sincerely doubt it, since from the introduction of Jet, Paul made it abundantly clear that Jet had a crazy high metabolism, nót anorexia. Although, having said that, the skeleton cóuld be the residue of other people constantly pressing Jet about what théy perceived as Anorexia, and thusly making that an active demon for Jet.
My ex had the same problem. No Anorexia, No bulimia, eating like a dock-worker, yet stick-thin, but with Double-D's ,so she was ánd pestered about her "Anorexia" ánd had to live with the notion that there were no affordable bra's for her figure, ánd to boot, was often accused of having had a crazy boob-job..poor woman...
A person can still have a particular demon even though they are not totally driven by it. We may all have the demon Anorexia, just that it is having little effect on most of us. Brings to mind one of my favorite T-Shirts which read "I beat anorexia!". A rather fat person was wearing it.

At first I thought, those demons aren't being pushed, they are being dragged towards Monica. The "clap" just got their attention, now they are being sucked towards a possible source of extinction.
But. . . the bewbs on the one on the left are definitely being squished, not pulled, so maybe they are being flung apart like so many rag dolls. Either way, I would not want to be "Tar" right now. Looks like she is gonna call a couple of hard-pipe hittin' brothers to go to work on the homes here with a pair of pliers and a blow-torch. ....(she) ain't through by a damn sight! She's a get medieval on your ass!
Or perhaps this is more appropriate
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee.
I just loves me a good ass whoopin

That's the reverberation of quantum sentience being sluiced through Young's double-slit interferometer.
Or someone left the parking brake on.

You know this might not work. Monica can herd demons but we have no proof the TAR is a demon. In fact the sphinx's feel it is human and therefore not their problem. That makes it likely that the TAR is NOT affected by Monica's powers. It may have come when all the other demons came but if Monica is depending on her ability to control it I think she is going to receive a unpleasant surprise. It is likely she gathered all the demons simply to remove any other possible targets and put them in a safe place while she goes nova on the TAR. I think going nova is a better description of the way she feels and the way her power is amplifying here in CSpace.

no Mon know the tar isn't a demon the tar came from humans not the deemon realm but Monica can kill sub titans and this tar is not a sub titan so I don't think that's going to be much of a problem here.

I want a Demon Shepard Watch(tm).
Especially if it lets me do that to my demons...
And forgive me if I'm late on this one, haven't been able to keep up with the forum whilst travelling...but does this mean that JG has to whoop the tar out of Georgette?
