Guidance understood that the intricacies of the demon legal code didn't allow her to bring sphinx enforcement into the situation until Jet had died. If she had pressed the matter, the sphinxes would likely have just killed Jet because she had evil inside. Better to just let the evil rapist be, and become a serial rapist.

--Wait, what's this? A call for redress? I do hope The Tar understands that the concepts of a speedy trial and an impartial jury have very different meanings on the quantum level.

Also, we're assuming that because The Tar is using rape to dominate Jet's covey, that rape is what "created" it. It might be otherwise. But it would be irresponsible not to begin with that as the leading possibility.

I have to agree with the majority, the art work is superb, also I, for one, wouldn't want to be anywhere near Monica right now, I'm guessing that she is radiating a lot of heat at the moment and when she finds Tar, that heat is going to escalate. BTW, did anyone else notice that Monica is drooling in the first panel?

That is why I said predator. I personally would lean toward a bad experience with one of the modeling agents. Some of them do take advantage of the young models hoping for a great career and opportunity. If her parents trusted the agent, or person, even worse. That would be a betrayal to Jet, one should could not understand and would bury. I suspect the paranormal connection because it got into Jet's CSpace. Instead of just being buried it the mind, it was pushed into CSpace. That is not something that usually happens.

What if the reason for the plane crash was because the pilot was fondling little girl, or something of that nature?

In mythology, the Titans came first, followed by their decendants, who could be considered "sub -titans." Monica was specifically called a "sub-titan" by Tsilla. Titans were broad forces of nature, like Bia, a Titan of Force. Their decendants were more specialized into things like War, Love, Wisdom and so on. They weren't as powerful in the broad sense, but were much more focused and powerful in the things they were focused on.

Since Monica had her scare with Phix, all the supernaturals have been trying to tell her just how frigging powerful she really is. She's a Glyph reader who commands the Chimera and is the Jaguar Girl, but I think as guidance said, she is more than those things.

Yamara, I think the more commonly accepted term for "sub-titan" is "god."

As in, "Monica Villareal, Jaguar Girl, Glyph Reader, Keeper of the Chimera, Goddess of ----- ."

Not sure what her portfolio is. I'm trying to match one up with the power to sense your fears then subject you to them, but also to know your greatest desire and grant it.

I think that's kind of what happened here. Monica's power allowed her to sense Jett's greatest desire and she acted to fullfill that desire whithout fully understanding what she was doing.

I think that along with us, M is still figuring out what she really is.

Just got caught up on everything since Tuesday last week...and while Guidance may have had her "SQUEE!" moment earlier...I had mine today. I definitely did a little dance in my chair too to go with the happy excited feeling I got from seeing Monica go from awesome to ten-kinds-of-badass.

I'll have to go back and read all of the comments from previous days at another time (coming back to work after being at a conference for 3 1/2 days equals lots of backlog ), but I'm definitely enjoying where this is going!

Oh...and "what are you?" Well, if the last Jaguar Girl pre-dated the Universe...then she couldn't have been created from a human base...and I'd be willing to bet that changes how the Jaguar Girl powers manifest and are manipulated. So what M is?...well she's Jaguar Girl 2.0...new and improved and with an Attitude to boot!

That last panel is awesome. The previous sentence is an understatement. Throw in a string of profane modifiers and interjections and it may come close. I LIKE it.

I have a feeling M is going to challenge the Tar first, to see if it will reveal it's purpose. If anybody remembers Zelda: TOOT, the big bad boss was rather much, much less than was thought (no spoilers). The demon realm has it's own laws, and it's possible Tar is a legitimate addition to Jets covey, for reasons yet to be discovered.

But if it's an interloper, then expect Monica to go Super Saiyan in 5... 4... 3...
