Emotional Vampire: that's a reach. If such a thing did exist, I'm not saying it can't but I rally doubt it, it would feed on the stronger darker emotions. Fear, anger, hate, terror, rage, etc. Love is very strong but if it fed on that it would refrain from doing so.Also Georgette has not shown the sociopathic traits that a being which sought unearned love would exhibit.
Not a vampire in the classic sense, "vampire" came to mind only in that she drew out Tina's frank analysis and Monica's empathic abilities almost against their will, which to me is vampire-y. But now that I think about it, Jet does not seem to be feeding off of anything she's drawing out, just becoming upset (in the case of Tina) and embarrassed (in the case of Monica).
Plane crash, loved ones died, guilt trip for being the reason for the trip, need for affection and approval..,
alternate variations of Shelly's little friend?

Interesting that it's one specific entity within Tina saying "She needs you. She wants you." It's not the whole collective speaking. Is this the same single speaker who said "Intriguing!" to Georgette during the big involuntary reading?
With the Tina collective seeming to be merging, and since Nudge's departure left her as officially version "2.1" -- I've been assuming that any gray text is the entity with black wings. She seems very forthright, and none too shabby in projecting emotions of her own.
Dave wrote:Y'all called it, guys (zachariah and DilyV, I think?). She's a projective empath/telepath (I like Spider Robinson's portmanteau term "telempath"), and at the moment it seems that she's shouting.
I wonder whether she knew about this ability/characteristic, or whether it's as much of a surprise to her as it was to Tina and Monica?
She certainly doesn't seem ready to deny anything said of her so far, so some typical social barrier is down in there somewhere. But with all respect to Spider, that portmanteau is a bit unwieldy and not built for dyslexics.
No reason Wapsi can't have a trope-namer. A person who can vacuum up and project powerful emotions onto others? Call her an emjet.
And, she's going to keep singing until the tape runs out....
And on a plot related note -- maybe, not that Nudge is gone from Tina 2.1, perhaps demon skills repressed by Nudge are now showing themselves? (It's as good as an excuse as any)
Don't let other peoples limitations become your constraints!

think they are called 'Pushers'
Those are PK's, not PE's. Not sure what would be a good handle, maybe Projector? But not Pusher, the police can become very easily confused these days.
I don't think she gathers emotions either. I think she just projects her own. Her projected need is what pulled Tina into doing her read on Georgette.

Atomic wrote:Hmmm! Tina sensed Jets deepest needs, and projected them onto Monica -- and Monica, being sensitive, saw them as real!
At least, that's my take on this.
I take it as she projected unknowingly and overwhelmed Tina, thus the reading. Monica poits in and she too reacts to the projects from Georgette. Tina did not have to boost the signal as Monica picked it up herself. So either Monica's ability to sense emotions and things increased, or Georgette is a lot strong than we thought. Tina does not know of Monica's ability to see a person's deepest fears but that ability has to figure into this as well.
But why is Georgette getting even more embarrassed by what Tina said. Does the thought She needs and want Monica bother her than much? Or is it too revealing?
Too revealing methinks... I'm not quite sure if Jet knew she projected like that... If she did, she knows she's very bad at controlling it. She does seem to know that she is rather attracted to Monica and is flamingly embarrassed that that little tidbit is out in the open. If there is any fear involved on Jet's part it's fear of Monica finding out how insanely attracted to Monica she is. If that's the case, I'd say that Jet's worst fear had been outed... or is about to be... fully.
OK this sometimes happens to me, people will start saying exactly what I'm thinking down to the emphasis on the syllables and other emotional cues. But I guess if I was around people like Tina and Monica they would get the same thing as Jet just did? Remind me to avoid Mucha Mocha my next trip to Minneapolis/St.Paul.
I ride my bike to ride my bike, and sometimes it takes me where I need to go.

By the time you get there I'm sure Tina will have things under control. Just remember not to order a grande pentothal latte, amd you should be fine.

It's not projective talent. It is simply great minds work alike.
Or
They can read you like a book.
If it was projective it would happen more often than sometimes.
