It might be due to Bud's presence and role. Bud's first words on her arrival made it pretty clear that she isn't deliberately a part of whatever setup/scam/manipulation Tsillah was running. Kath may have decided "OK, ally has arrived. Shouting at shadow didn't elicit a useful response; words from pissed-off knowledgeable golem ally did. Place anger on standby, pursue inquiries to uncover fuller truth of situation."
Yes, Kath has plenty of justification for being angry. She certainly looked and sounded angry! But, this doesn't mean she was berserk-angry. I have the feeling it was a controlled, disciplined, and deliberately-directed anger... one which she could then set aside when it had served its purpose.
Her anger probably isn't gone, though... just shelved.

There is also the sudden inkling that Kat's adventure with Atsali was the distraction. Her concern for where Atsali is, is a secondary consideration to a bigger bad that may be about to happen.
It looks like we might have a good Friday Cliffhanger brewing...

Yeah. My money's on Aleister Crow's "Soulnado" of Etheitians landing on top of Charon right now, and his pulling all our heroes aside for an explanation.
But don't forget that the Chessmaster's plans are still out there untended. And beginning to unravel without her.

And, there are Bia's manipulations and schemes. And, I suspect, some of the other Gods, Titans, and miscellaneous sundry Powers have some schemes in play as well.
The cross-product of all of this plotting (in both senses of the word) is going to be interesting to observe!

Or a looong line of not-quite-right souls just outside of Charon's office. He's forced to shanghai our adventurers in an attempt to control the paperwork.
