So, i ran across a mention somewhere of a Truly Awful film called Movie 43.

I was moved to look it up on RottenTomatoes ... where i discovered it has a 4% approval rating out of 77 critics' reviews. (That would be three out of 77.)

Now, RT always put a bit near the bottom of the summary page: "People who like this movie also like".

Here's what i saw at the bottom of the page for Movie 43:

Never mind the ratings, it's still most likely better than the latest Fantastic Four.

Never mind the ratings, it's still most likely better than the latest Fantastic Four.

Actually ... read the reviews and the synopsis.

It may not be.

And apparently a good part of the cast were basically swindled into being involved...

Yow. Even after just reading a few of the reviews, I feel an urgent need to go have my brain stream-cleaned.

I think I would have been compelled to have myself euthanized if I had actually gone to, and sat through that honker.

All I can add to this is that 'Postal' is based on the notorious video game, and that it was directed by Uwe Bol. There's a scene in the movie of him 'boxing' a critic, echoing a challenge to step into a boxing ring he put out to critics in real life.

There's a sequence (Begins here) involving (among MANY things) three Dark Gods: Gra'Sha'Nuul, Defiler of Graves, Sabba'Dez'Na, Tht Of Fetid Waters and Uwe'Boll, Whose Touch Turns All To Poo. (And that's not just a throwaway gag, BTW.)

There's a sequence (Begins here) involving (among MANY things) three Dark Gods: Gra'Sha'Nuul, Defiler of Graves, Sabba'Dez'Na, Tht Of Fetid Waters and Uwe'Boll, Whose Touch Turns All To Poo. (And that's not just a throwaway gag, BTW.)

LOVE that story arc. And I'm a bit disappointed we don't get more of Vanity Thorn's adventures.

Practice saying "No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to die!"

Keeping your guard gators where they'll serve as a defense, and not go after you instead, could be a bit of a chore. Easier if you've already double-fenced your home, with a moat in between. This also helps keep them from eating the neighbors' pets, which tends to make the neighbors unhappy and/or nervous. Just don't run short on thawed chickens and/or Carnosaur Kibble and you'll probably be OK.

I hope your recovery from the H/F/M virus is going well... it sounds quite unpleasant but (fortunately) complications seem to be rare. Unfortunately, it can be caused by a whole bunch of different (somewhat-related) viruses, and there's no vaccine and no specific treatment

Back in the Seventies, we had two burglaries about a week apart - something (we think it was the phone ringing) scared them off the first time).

My roommate and i (who'd been my best friend in high school in the mid-Sixties) decided that what we needed was a bear.

You get a bear, you let it have the run of the house, and you don't bother to lock the doors.

Three good things happen:

A) You don't get burglarised.

B) Crime rate overall in the neighbourhood goes down

C) You hardly ever have to buy Purina Bear Chow

Homophones lead to such terrible confusion. I'm sure you means "A mignon of the law", since it was a stake-out.
