Did pyre and gimbals in the warble:
All mimes were the governesses,
And the mope breaths roundabout.
“Beware the Cabinetwork, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jujube bird, and shun
The frumpish Bipartisanship!”
He took his corporal sword in hand;
Long time the manometer foe he sought—
So rested he by the Tumulus tree
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in raffish thought he stood,
The Biweeklies, with eyes of flame,
Came sniffling through the tautology wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The warplane blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
“And hast thou slain the Jabberer?
Come to my arms, my squeamish boy!
O firebox day! Scallion! Callahan!”
He chortled in his joy.
’Twas barelegged, and the smithy stoves
Did gyve and gimlet in the wale:
All Mimi were the breakfront,
And the heme rats outgrew.
That may be the weirdest version of The Jabberwocky I've ever read.

Every time i run across a new spellchecker, i run "Jabberwocky" through it.
Some misguided people think i'm weird.

I had to write alternative stanzas for that poem as part of my linguistics class this semester. It was fun.

Heh. I wrote an extra verse for "Benson Arizona" a while ago...
And i started writing songs for "The Three Nickel Opera", but the project fell through.

I hope you prefaced that with a "Hold my beer and watch this."
Where did you find the interesting poem?

I suspect that it was "The Jabberwock" thrown through a spell checker.

Ran Lewis Carroll's "Jabberwocky" through the LibreOffice spellchecker.

I once ran our office phone list through a spell-checker. Some of the results were... amusing.

Hey, look what I ran into while reading comics, on this fine Canadian holiday* (notice the third panel):

*Canadian Thanksgiving is on the second Sunday of October, and most people have Thanksgiving Monday off, to make it a three-day weekend

Bwahahahahahaaaaa!
That's perfect! Pair it with my fave
bedtime story, and my fave
storytime tale.
Apparently they pulled Bryan Cranston's version. I got both from Audible as Mother's day gifts. Fry's version will have to do until you can find the other to compare...oh, and apparently after all the confusion, Morgan Freeman and LeVar Burton have done versions of the first book. LOOOOOOOVE IT!
