Sounds somewhat uncomfortable but manageable. Unless what you were eating was creamy and it came out crunchy. You would probably have to go see a doctor about that.Atomic wrote:This morning, I have learned that it is possible to pass peanut butter through your nose.

I am very happy to report from first hand experience that peanut butter is not carbonated, thank God!
The syringe was very helpful, by the way. Much appreciated, DinkyInky!

I was, however, in fact speaking about that poriferous menace in four-sided trousers by the name of "Bob".
no, i knew you were talking about the cartoon, i was just messing with you. AND, I totally agree with your thoughts on it as well...
it must be the Old-Fogey's-Syndrome kicking in, but I just don't "get" most of today's shows and what people are being spoon-fed on cable now-a-days, I mean the first couple-ish seasons of "the real world" (on MTV back in '95) were OK, but the crap that is out there NOW... blech... that's just one of the reasons I don't watch live TV any more and just get the seasons on DVD/BD for the shows that I do like.

I'm right with you there(and tell these "hipster cartoons" to get off my lawn *shakes fist*), or how about America's obsession with remakes of popular British television...and getting it wrong?scantrontb wrote:no, i knew you were talking about the cartoon, i was just messing with you. My son watches a few of the "new" cartoons(Spongey McStupidTrousers included), but on a whole he likes the classic Tom & Jerry, Felix, and Animaniacs, and Garfield. A friend got me a disc of Clutch Cargo as a joke, and my son said there was more talent there than on an episode of Fanboy(whatever that is).
He likes more adult dramas(like Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes, or BBC's Sherlock [but he dislikes Elementary immensely)]or Robin Hood), and a few well written cartoons(He's rather taken with Green Lantern:Emerald Knights, and Marvel Animated) or a good movie like The Forbidden Kingdom. It's hard to believe my wee geekling is only eight, when he's immersed himself in grownup things, like Conan Doyles Sherlock Holmes Mysteries, or Twain's Diary of Adam and Eve. Always questioning, always searching for the next interesting thing.
Yanno how some people have Angels/Devils for a conscience? I have a Dark Elf ShadowKnight and a Half Elf Ranger for mine. The really bad part is when they agree on something.

And Space Angel - which was pretty crummy in terms of "animation", but well written and beautifully designed by Alex Toth, which made it worth watching, right thereNOTDilbert wrote:Oh my gosh - I REMEMBER Clutch Cargo - on the Uncle Jay Show, weekday afternoons after school, on channel seven out of Austin, Texas in the Sixties......wow.

I'd laugh at the Sponge Bob Square Pants comic riff if I weren't to busy groaning about that damn song getting stuck in my head...again.

My son says it's better than having Gangnam Style Stuck there, but not by much.Julie wrote:I'd laugh at the Sponge Bob Square Pants comic riff if I weren't to busy groaning about that damn song getting stuck in my head...again.![]()
He says listen to Mi Mancherai (Josh Groban and Joshua Bell version) and perhaps the song may soothe you and make you forget all about that yellow squishy menace.
My son says I am to toss a bunch of pillows at you until you are buried in them, then toss a pile of blankets over that, then another layer of pillows. He calls it "Death by Fluffy". P.S. -- Don't upset Miss Julie please.shadowinthelight wrote:Ooooooo,

Re: Fan Art
nah.. what i've got stuck in MY head is "Diggy Diggy Hole" and another one, a parody of "500 Miles"... "500 Chunks", they are both MineCraft related songs and they are AWESOME!! (and i don't mind them getting lodged in there either either), (you should really watch the Youtube vids for these to get the full effect!)... there are a few Gangnam Style/MineCraft parodies out there as well that are pretty good, but I like these two slightly better though... YMMV...DinkyInky wrote:My son says it's better than having Gangnam Style Stuck there, but not by much.Julie wrote:I'd laugh at the Sponge Bob Square Pants comic riff if I weren't to busy groaning about that damn song getting stuck in my head...again.![]()

Apropos of nothing, we need a picture of M in lava form sitting behind a Charlie Brown-style sign that says "The Titan is IN".

That said, your son gets my taste in relaxation tunes pretty well.

Also...on a completely unrelated note: Fire drills at work when you're on the 13th floor (or higher I'd imagine) are the worst. The drill started when I was in the middle of typing up this post, and now that I'm back, my legs are shaking ridiculously.
