What A Goober!

Is this Idle’s Law at work?

This story line has gotten too silly, we're going to have to shut it... What? Well, I suppose an April Fools story is... Well, yes, but, there are limits to... They have a special dispensation? Signed by...? Well, then... Carry on, I suppose.

I think Daylla is in need of a hard reset in that third panel...

We already had Poseidon's niece as a regular character, so Aphrodite's granddaughter makes perfect sense.

The fact that she's a Python fan only makes her fit better!

Gryphon High seems to have some flexible dress codes.

If she were the granddaughter of Apollo, though, I wonder if she'd still appreciate Python?

If not Python, there's always Ruby or Perl...

Right about now, Daylla must be wondering if she fell into another parallel universe again.

In another universe, Monica, Shelly, Jin and company are still the main characters. ;)

Somewhen, in a Calendar Machine Time Loop, they still are...

Poor Jin is getting more and more unhinged with each successive iteration she is forced to remember when no one else does...

There's a theory, though it hasn't been proven, that the Calendar Machine was not actually a time machine but a digital recorder. When its memory buffer was full, it created a new universe, saved the old one in a pocket universe, and waited until the recorder was shut off.

Problem is, the recording instructions were lost when the first Lanthian Priests got sucked into the Demon Realm with May.

So the machine kept recycling through the same time period, but not "resetting" things, but creating copies of the existing universe.

And when Monica et aliae finally 86'ed the machine by sending it into the Demon Realm - where Bud compressed it into diamond size - all of the copies started running again, as of December 21, 2012.

Every single one of them know that Monica and company fixed the machine, and life went on with variations (like, say, Daylla's boyfriend, Monica's friend, Katherine's boyfriend, Phix's husband, etc.).

All except one - the first copy that the machine made as a backup, that presumed that the Machine never existed in the first place. That universe is ours.
