Get the clue-by-four ready, Scar.
Proof Positive the world is not flat: If it were, cats would have pushed everything off the edge by now.

We'll, that's one of the most skillful conbackations I've seen lately.
(It's sort of like a confrontation, but it hits you from an unexpected angle.)
It makes sense, though... the kitsune are associated with Japan, so it's only reasonable that Scarlet might be familiar with akido.

She’s expecting an awful lot of Cas.
He's mister GlytchMeister, he's mister code
He's mister exploiter, he's mister ones and zeros
They call me GlytchMeister, whatever I touch
Starts to glitch in my clutch!
I'm too much!

These are like, 15 year olds tops right?
I could wager Scar is trying to act more mature than she really is with all of this, and it might bite her in the butt.

Yea poor Scar is taking her life in her own hands with this one. Tampering with anothers emotions is akin to trying to defuse a nuclear weapon. In this case both figurative and literally.

It's not hard to defuse a nuke . . .
getting one to go off is hard!

But what if it's Tina asking? And she hands you a screwdriver?
Re: Dumb Butt 2019-01-30
I say "No, thank you. I don't want to end up like Shelly-1!" and I walk away.Catawampus wrote: ↑Wed Jan 30, 2019 5:53 pmBut what if it's Tina asking? And she hands you a screwdriver?

You can see in the second panel that the rusty gears are slowly starting to turn. Hopefully it will not take Cass as long as it did her sister.

(every time I read the title, I scramble it as 'Numb Butt'...)
Re: Dumb Butt 2019-01-30
That's far too close to that thing.
Fortunately, it's gone, expended in a test shot.
If you want something scary, look up the various Broken Arrows.
I'm not sure I believe the official story that #1 didn't have a core aboard.

Re: Dumb Butt 2019-01-30
The Demon Core was melted down and used in other experiments. It was never fired. They decided it was too close to criticality after poorly designed experiments killed the experimenters.
Most of the Broken Arrows involve Soviet designs; not that they're _bad_, necessarily, but generally are run at margins unacceptable to sane scientists and engineers. As for the one that dropped uranium - it probably hadn't been loaded with plutonium, because that's the last step before it being a fully active nuclear weapon. They weren't trying to fly an active weapon. The ones that bother me are the complete disappearances.
I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

Depends... if we're talking about what was dropped on Hiroshima, THAT one was bloody primitive and triggered with only 2 pounds of cordite. It was rather effective.

Psht, easy-peasy...
Re: Dumb Butt 2019-01-30
Ah . . . the older references I'd seen had indicated it was expended in Crossroads.Bookworm wrote: ↑Wed Jan 30, 2019 11:39 pmThe Demon Core was melted down and used in other experiments. I believe that technically a Broken Arrow applies only to US weapons.
Oh, the accounts all agree that there wasn't a plutonium core in the weapon . . . but at that time the core was installed in flight! It was transported in a cage, which I believe was carried in the bomb bay, and two of the crew opened an access (a complex process), installed the core, closed the weapon back up, and installed the detonators that detonated the explosive lenses before the weapon was set for the drop.Bookworm wrote: ↑Wed Jan 30, 2019 11:39 pm . . . The official version of events says there wasn't a core aboard at all . . . I'm not sure I believe that. For one thing, they spent far too long trying to find the aircraft, and they apparently removed the cage, but left the unused detonators in place in the wreckage.
