Her friends need to get on the stick.

You know that light at the end of the tunnel?
Yeah... it's a bullet. Sorry.

While i can well understand the lonely feeling that the holidays can bring i do find that closeness to a lot of humans is very overrated.

Thanksgiving dinner is at 5, dear, and I'll be in touch as plans firm up for Yule.
Do come along.
Do come along.

There's nothing like a family funeral a week prior to set the mood.

Perhaps so, but go through a long enough period without family festivities, and you will eventually miss it quite a bit.oldmanmickey wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 6:49 am While i can well understand the lonely feeling that the holidays can bring i do find that closeness to a lot of humans is very overrated.
Her friends would need to know she has no one. Sure, they know it somewhat, intellectually, but they are most likely busy enough with their own celebrations that they haven't stopped long enough to fully realize, fully grasp, the fact that Tina has no one to celebrate with.
And now, for something completely different...
Have we always been able to quote multiple people directly from the post page, and I just never noticed, or is this something new with the new version of the board? (I used to quote people in different tabs, and copy all the quoted text into a single post page afterwards, but now I can review older posts, even as I have text already typed up, and hit the quote button of another post to add the quote to the post already in progress. Neat.)

The good news is that a human body driven by a gaggle of demons has now self-integrated enough to be self aware, perhaps enough to feel lonely?
Re: All the while 2018-11-21
That feature has been there for as long as I can recall. It's not a new addition from the recent forum software upgrade.lake_wrangler wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 12:31 pm

(Yeah, family Thanksgiving is nice. I braved the crowds, this year, to fly back to Maine for a few days... I'm at my mom's condo, getting ready to make the mashed potatoes for tomorrow's dinner with her, my youngest brother and his wife. Yesterday was Mom's 90th birthday... took her out for a Vietnamese dinner in town at a very friendly little restaurant she's fond of. My other brother and his wife won't be there due to a board meeting she must attend in China, but I got to see them briefly for the first time in some years when I arrived on Sunday.
So, definitely, somebody should invite Tina over for holiday festivities this year!)

Really? I knew that as you read a page, each post had a "Quote" button, but I don't recall seeing quote buttons on posts below the text box where you entered your content, once you started typing a new post. Now, the quote buttons are quite prominent, below the new post text box, so that you can add quotes to the post you are currently typing, which I don't recall being able to do before...Dave wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 2:28 pmThat feature has been there for as long as I can recall. Yup, that display of posts under the text box has been there at least ever since I started, and they’ve always had those buttons.
He's mister GlytchMeister, he's mister code

They call me GlytchMeister, whatever I touch

I believe it's been that way ever since I joined here . . . I believe it's a standard feature of the software.lake_wrangler wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 2:56 pmReally? Here I go again on my own
Going down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter, I was born to walk alone

Some day, I'll go where there ain't no rain or snow.
'Till then, I'll travel alone.
And I lay my bed with the stars above my head,
and dream of a place called home.

The spirals are still there... well, maybe they’re not exactly spirals, but they’re not normal.

1st of all- Tina.
2ndly, the Art on this one is noteworthy, Paul continues to refine his work. (Look at that third panel, for example...)
3rdly, In some alternate Universe, Tina isn't alone for Thanksgiving - she's in my kitchen right now wearing naught but an apron.
'cause, reasons... --- Besides; Safety First!
there is no four.
Lastly, Happy Thanksgiving everybody- even if it's not a favorite day or being done the 'normal' way or you are missing someone dear.
Today can be complicated, but really it's very simple.
Appreciate something you can give thanks for.

Happy Turkey, y'all, and yay that Tina wants to continue to grow!
