Okay, so I'm sitting here listening to Leo Moracchioli's cover of the Nine Inch Nails song "Hurt," which was also covered by Mr. Cash shortly before his death. I'd heard the original version, which was okay, but it's kind of strange that of the three different versions I'd heard, the covers are better than the original. I don't usually hear many people say that about covers; usually the original is considered the better version.

Still, I wonder if I should share the video on Facebook, because I know a person or two who could relate (one is recovering from benzo addiction thanks to having been prescribed the stuff in the past).

DO a search on YouTube - it's probably already there. Just share the URL.

WOW! I just found out that GoComics is hosting the whole (?) run of Peanuts comics from the start!

(I have to admit, it's amusing to see the date below the first comic, seeing as it's much, much older than the internet, let alone the GoComics site...)

Sparky was a deeply twisted guy and a genius cartoonist. Without question one of the 10 best strips of the 20th century. Shame that his work is still pushing younger living artists off the daily print pages, though.

And, quite amazingly, the first Peanuts strip seems to have been published on my wife's birthday. Not on an anniversary... on the very day she was born.

This explains so much. :D

She was thoroughly delighted when I told her.

My favourite creator-tribute cartoon has to be "What happened to the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering kaboom."

Another wallpaper quote:
“Wagner's music is better than it sounds.” - Mark Twain (1835-1910)
Apparently, he was quoting Edgar Wilson Nye.

History of the quote.
