And this is different from any other day? :)
Dave hasn't weaponized it yet. That's different.

Either you haven't known him for very long, or you're being rather polite... because friends usually "tutoient" each other...

While I don't know him personally, I've interacted with him long enough that I would have said:
"Oui, toi."
;)

This spontaneous French lesson was brought to you by the letter "Why don't you keep your nose out of other people's business!" and the letter "Don't mind him, he's just weird, like that..."

Honestly, I couldn't remember the conjugation for tu, and thought I could come closer with the formal vous.

(I haven't studied French since 1985 . . . and really haven't used it either. . . . . in fact, I think that the last time I used it, I asked you for advice! )

Don't worry: those were some really tiny nits, I was picking... :P
(In fact, I hope I didn't come off as too critical...)

Mi certe ne estis ofendita de la formaleco. Konsiderante la cirkonstancojn, mi kredas, ke li estis nur ĝentila.

I believe my help was in Drop the Dreams . . . long ago, and in another sector of the multiverse.

Ah, yes. Of course. That was the one about April, right? Do you still have copies of that fanfic? The old forum being gone, there's no way for me to read it again. That was a nice story, you had woven.
