No Reason 2017-04-20
I ride my bike to ride my bike, and sometimes it takes me where I need to go.

That friendly lick... was not well-timed.
I wonder whether Monica is about to have to deal with a kitchen full of panicked Sphinx?

Re: No Reason 2017-04-20
I had this thought last night when I read the previous strip... "What if..."
Well, we're about to find out...
Shelly: Digit!!! What numerous arms you have!!!!
Digit: " The better to hug you with!"
The good part is she's maintained her form... with the exception of the extra arms. No fangs, extra eyes or Pedipalps...
At least she won't explode spider gut goo all over Shelly!

You know that light at the end of the tunnel?
Yeah... it's a bullet. Sorry.
Yeah... it's a bullet. Sorry.

Unless, that is, the expression of sheer terror on Shelly's mobile face actually kills her. We'd get to watch two phobias fulfilled, for the price of one.DilyV wrote:At least she won't explode spider gut goo all over Shelly!

And not Fate but rather Dietzle lends a hand...

Next, Shelly goes full Sphinx and Digit reacts even more!

Proof Positive the world is not flat: If it were, cats would have pushed everything off the edge by now.

My handy dandy Acme universal translator when fed in the last panel translates Digits statement as expletive deleted and physically impossible as well. Sorta reminds me of my ex plant manager coming in one morning skint and bandaged up both arms as well as face. Said he had learned the previous night that if a cat falls in the pool let the sob drown.
Dear, don’t bore him with trivia or burden him with your past mistakes. The happiest way to deal with a man is never to tell him anything he does not need to know. L. Long

Watched this happen irl last summer. Talking to a friend (wearing sandals) in front of a bar, when a dog passing from behind decides to give his ankle a lick. He jumped, yelped and flailed while I lmao. He asked me why I didn't say anything, but it all happened in a matter of seconds.TazManiac wrote:And not Fate but rather Dietzle lends a hand...

The unexpected lick is powerful, indeed.
Re: No Reason 2017-04-20
I'm also reminded of the time Bud licked Monica's leg as she was talking to the police late at night.

No, don't let it drown... if you have a pool, you really should have an implement or two for skimming stuff from the surface of the pool. While you remain outside it. Fish the cat out with that.oldmanmickey wrote:My handy dandy Acme universal translator when fed in the last panel translates Digits statement as expletive deleted and physically impossible as well. I hadn't thought this when I first read the comic, but you know? There's 'ship' material here, esp w/ the Lick and the Pounce...

Digit wasn't forewarned, but she's four-armed. (Exit pursued by a pun jar.)

"Double the arms, double the hugs, double the fun!"
"Who wants a tickle fight?!" (This is the real reason Shelly looks so terrified in the last panel.)
