Re: Fan Art
It does have an "All My Children" feel to it, doesn't it?

Try this version, it's been upsized four times with Waifu2x (dumbest name ever for an image resizer) with it's noise removal set to 1:shadowinthelight wrote:Done. This was truly an awful picture to color from a technical standpoint. (thin, not completely black lines and lots of JPG artifacts) If I felt like spending a couple of weeks on it I would have cleaned it up leaving pure unshaded line art but whatevers.
Code: Select all
waifu2x-converter_x64.exe --scale_ratio 4 --noise_level 1 --mode noise_scale -o c:\temp\WapsiCast.png -i f:A3-wapsi-group.jpg
Re: Fan Art
Wow. Very nicely done.

Eh, I hardly did anything; that was a bit of command-line typing (see the code block above) and exercising my graphics card for a measily 10 seconds or so...Atomic wrote:Applause, applause to both!
It was more meant as a suggestion for further coloring - in my experience coloring is easier the higher the resolution of the line art is to begin with, and Waifu2x is rather handy for that (also for full color images, not just line art).

Re: Fan Art
Thanks, but I'm done with that picture (for now at least). I did just edit it to fix Monica's eyes which I had left too light for my tastes, though. If I ever revisit it will probably be a vector trace. Here is the palette I came up with if anyone else wants to give it a shot. Most of the skin and hair colors are based on official pictures but the colors differ from Atomic's old color reference since Paul himself changes things up so often.Leak wrote:Try this version, it's been upsized four times with Waifu2x (dumbest name ever for an image resizer) with it's noise removal set to 1:

Re: Fan Art
Found this, thought I had lost it. A little sketch resulting from doodle, done years ago. Doubt Count Duckula had any influence, certainly something from Vaughn Bode. The head shape was the doodle, the rest fell in place.
Tried for larger image, just not cooperating. The little things at his feet are feathers... and some fog for effect.

All I get is the filename, twice. the first time bold, the second time with the size and how many times it's been viewed.Hansontoons wrote:Found this, thought I had lost it. Odd. Probably operater (me) error. I could not open other images earlier today.Warrl wrote:All I get is the filename, twice. the first time bold, the second time with the size and how many times it's been viewed.Hansontoons wrote:Found this, thought I had lost it. Re: Fan Art
From what I get, either the forum, or your browser (and mine) won't display a tiff image on the page. If you right-click on the bold-lettered image name, and save it to your computer, you should be able to view it there.Warrl wrote:All I get is the filename, twice. the first time bold, the second time with the size and how many times it's been viewed.

Re: Fan Art
I scanned the sketch of Tepoz this evening, and lo- the scan had a prompt for which format to save within that I managed to ignore/miss/not pay attention to while messing with Duckula.lake_wrangler wrote:Yep. That shows up.
Like I've said, I'm tech challenged. All I want is one button to push and everything works!
Maybe not the big "red one", just the one that reads minds like "Oh, you want it in a format compatible with the forum you frequent? No problem! >bing!< Done!
