Re: Banana peels
I have often seen footage of these things where some burly fellow rams into it to throw it off-balance and it recovers... can you imagine the reaction when one of them recovers and then kicks the offending human in the ass?

That's the robot that becomes Skynet and sends Arnold Schwarzenegger to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor.
There is no such thing as a science experiment gone wrong.

Your comments remind me very much of The Measure Of A Man, which I think is one of the best "Star Trek - Next Generation" episodes ever aired.GlytchMeister wrote:Giving rise to a new race of beings that lack basic human rights and thus can be legally enslaved? There's a lot of money to be had in slave labor.
And I doubt the A.I. slaves would be any happier than any human slave.
Some of the dialog (see http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0708807/tri ... =tt_trv_qu) still gives me chills. BBC America re-ran it recently, and I still can't forgive them for cutting out the whole discussion between Riker and Data at the end of the story.

I have a bad habit of posting off the top of my head without actually producing the thing in question. I'll work on that.
btw- the ST:NG episode quotes where very well received, it was a flash-back indeed...
