Lavender works better in a tisane, mon ami. Lavender and lemons are polar opposites anyway. I use lemon for wakeup, lavender for relaxing.
Yanno how some people have Angels/Devils for a conscience? I have a Dark Elf ShadowKnight and a Half Elf Ranger for mine. The really bad part is when they agree on something.

So, the lemonade is a combination of Puppy Uppers and Doggy Downers, in a tasty liquid form?

Sorta like Irish coffee, in a weird way.

I like to host dinner parties, in the spring and summer it's 2/3s cooking on the grill,1/3 cooking in the house, and in fall and winter it's 1/3 grilling and 2/3 in the house. I find the season affects not only the drinks my husband and I serve and/or mix, but the music too. So I feel the setting and the food(and good food Always goes with good booze)and the time of year affect the music we play. So I think it goes a little deeper than just what you hear. It has to do with the ambient air, if you are outside/inside, the season, sun up, sun down, etc.

Here's one for you to try when you are in the mood to relax...

Shot of Buttershots in a bottle of Root Beer. Best if you use the actual sugar formula instead of corn syrup. much as I prefer to deal with Harry Potter as little as possible, the only thing I can really name this drink is Butterbeer. Only one shot of liquor per drink, so it's really light. If you can get the stuff in the bottle instead of the can, you can serve it up in the original bottle. Alternately, you can go half-an-half if you want something with a bit more kick to it, but I prefer something I can sip and savor.

Ice cold frosty root beer, a little bit of buttershots, to relax at the end of the day with. Pairs well with a good book, some classical music, and a comfy chair.

Here in Wapsiverse, there is No Thread Necro; I am glad to see a new response and reply to this thread, complete w/ relevant content. Bravo.

That said; I am rethinking the original feeling I had to this thread's original postings; now I'm thinking:

Would What You Are Listening To Influence Your Choice of Drink?

Since Bowie and Prince have recently past, I find myself adding as-of-yet-unheard cuts up in the play-list, and it seems to affect the choice of imbibement...

Matusalem Platinino Rum that I had steeped with ginger and demerrara cane somewhere about six months to a year ago(the date I did this is on one of the threads in this subforum), and soda water.

I was wearing a certain unmentionable ginger perfume, and listening to Miami Sound Machine.

Christian Brothers (don't call it Brandy) & RC Cola, while I watch 'the Descent' & 'Alien'.
The first on DVD, the second on... VHS. Muhahahahahahaa..

(I have a copy of 'the Keep' on stand-by, somewhere...)

edit- this isn't really a Sip'n the good stuff and enjoying the quality type event, just a drive-by post while I enjoy the dregs of the mix'n-stuff that needed to be um, dealt with.

I still have a Sierra Nevada Torpedo in the frig on stand-by... (All this predicated by the exercising of the Surround Sound rig that's been getting kind of dusty lately...)

Something nautical. Or perhaps this.

Or maybe this old traditional ballad. It comes with fond memories for me. About a decade ago, my wife and I were finishing up a weeklong vacation in Bhutan, headed back towards Paro in a car driven by Pema and accompanied by our guide Sangay. Gwen sang that song for them and, although I have an undistinguished singing voice on my best days and can rarely carry a tune without having to use a bucket, I managed to harmonize with her singing well enough that I didn't actually disgrace us. Pema and Sangay loved Gwen's voice, and I mailed them a couple of copies of her CD after we got home.

With some music, of course, there is only one choice.

Tea. Black tea, with salt and butter. Preferably yak butter.

Agreed on the tea - with cream of course. Preferably while listening toTHIS.
