That would possibly be the most horrible thing Paul could actually do.

All of this self confidence building, and actually choosing to act once she fully understands... Only for it to later be found out that Nadette was under the effects of her voice.

Like I wrote earlier, Paul isn't Dave "Dumbing of Age" Willis. I don't think we have to worry about that too much.

That's what she said. Doesn't mean it's the (whole) truth of the matter.

After all, it was Nadette who told Atsali that those who had true feelings for her would be immune to her song. She might possibly have been speaking from personal experience (as well as theoretical Seer knowledge) when she said that.

without asking you in full, three or four times, over a few hours, are you sure you do want it, each time more forcefully, even though every time you are VERY dubious- you said " hey I asked some one before, they did not expect me to want it, I did not know whether to be sure I wanted it, but then I am , maybe thirsty, but then I was distracted by something, I may not really be thirsty, and then someone said I had not had a drink the whole day, but I could not be sure that was true... but then some one said, are you sure, you look dehydrated, but surely it is just my mind, making me think so... I was asked again, and almost took a drink...
