eBay - Indiana Jones style Jacket
Regrettably not quite my size, but hopefully some adventurous sort will pick up this fine garment. And before anyone says anything, YES this is definitely being sold by Paul Taylor and not a clever imposter.

Sleeves are a couple of inches too short, chest is a few inches too narrow, but the waist has about nine inches to spare. Could I buy just the lower quarter of the jacket, for a quarter of the price?

I like the fact that at the time of your posting, your avatar was a pensive Castela...Catawampus wrote:Sleeves are a couple of inches too short, chest is a few inches too narrow, but the waist has about nine inches to spare. Rather than modify the jacket (and thus ruin it), we could ask Paul to do a caricature sketch of you, modified in proportions to fit the jacket.lake_wrangler wrote:I like the fact that at the time of your posting, your avatar was a pensive Castela...Catawampus wrote:Sleeves are a couple of inches too short, chest is a few inches too narrow, but the waist has about nine inches to spare. Or, at least, the lower portion of it. I'm sure you'd enjoy being drawn, and quartered.

I felt that it was an appropriate image for all of the deep thoughts going on around here. And if other stuff also ends up getting deep on occasion, well, perhaps Castela would appreciate the extra fertiliser.lake_wrangler wrote:I like the fact that at the time of your posting, your avatar was a pensive Castela...

Dave, I think the pun jar is looking for some quarters...

I'm done thinking for today! It's caused me enough trouble!
Re: eBay - Indiana Jones style Jacket
That's very gracious of you, shadowinthelight! Thank you for your offer!
As it turns out, it won't be necessary - I've been working on the issue myself, and I think I've found some really nice quarters for the Pun Jar.
It's welcome to move into my antique cabinet, next to my pewter collection (both inherited from my grandparents, who had a hobby and business of collecting and refinishing antiques). There's a nice spot on the lower shelf, where the Pun Jar will be safe and cozy for as long as it wishes to remain here... rent-free, of course.
