This is how the strip gets back onto schedule. Two fillers and a trip to the dentist. We wait for Monday to find out how they handle Jet. It was the Cliff hanger. Uf Da!(The swedish Oy Vey)

For those who haven't caught up yet, here's what's shaking:

Jet has teleported (by way of her Super Model powers) to an unknown Aztec tomb to recover the legendary Stilettos of Mighty Grace. With those, she can own any catwalk and influence any designer, as long as she doesn't sprain her ankle while wearing them. The Tar was an evil spell cast upon her by Fatmia Maguffin, whose Evening Wear collection was outshone by Jet in her Day-to-Night collection. Now free of that distraction, she's able to pursue the Stilettos and get revenge on Fatmia.

Meanwhile, Monica and Tina continue to counter-punch each other in a demonic klutzfest best symbolized by the infamous Who's On First? routine, only with demons. Grateful for her new found freedom (via Monica's visit as Jaguar Girl), Jet sneaks away, knowing full well not to interrupt.

Hey -- it could be!

Yeah. But, considering all she has been through recently, Jet will probably appreciate the extra time to finish waking up enough to ask Tina for a really good cup of coffee so she can finish waking up.

Actually... is this the first time that Paul has admitted (in writing no less) to committing cliffhangers? :geek: :?:

WOOT!!... I called it EXACTLY!!!...

OK, I'm done gloating now....

so... Since Paul REALLY wants this to BE a cliffhanger, then I guess that my guess of where we see Jet waking up at, is ALSO wrong as well... because now it looks like that wouldn't be cliffhanger-worthy if she really was in front of the counter... or maybe she actually was the tar that Monica fried and she's off in Xibalba like Aleister Crow said, and her BODY is still there on the floor, but her soul is doing to her body what Tina1.0 had done to hers... the demons are the ones puppetting her right now, since they are the only ones there... with her soul itself out of body (in the afterlife, limbo, Xibalba, etc)... and I can't remember who else said something about M having to go to there as The Jaguar Girl to get her BACK...

Any which way this turns out, I still say that after this, the modelling world won't want anything to do with her any more and she'll finally get her wish of being able to be a "normal" girl now...

and I DO so want to find out more about this "prophesy" that Blackwing was talking about...

@Dave... I know he's said stuff about various times that he was on vacation or going to Cons and that filler strips would be placed in, but I agree in that I also think that this is the first time that he has explicitly stated anything about Friday cliffhangers...

I'm gyre-ing and gimble-ing. So wabe is the next noun to be verbified? (:

Well, busy people just verb, relaxed folks may try to verbify, and the truly ornate, verbibulate.

I think I'll spend the time studying literary wordplay, and searching for new puns... the clause that catch.

Verb. Verbify. Verbification. Verbitude. Verbitulation. Antiverbitulationarianism. Verbunism. Verbitation. Verbalism. Transverbutation.

DAMNIT!!!!

Okay...now that I've got that out of my system, I'm going to start kicking myself for being all happy about not having to deal with yesterday's page as a cliffhanger...and then having the gall to actually post it and jinx myself. :P
