So that was Anger

Also, "Georgette's covey".

Check.

Monica's Lust is rather refined compared to Georgette's.

And here i am again.

I missed that the tar is apparently not part of the covey - "No one else is supposed to be in here. Now we have you and the tar."

Also - on a second look - i like the way Guidance's hair turned into a robe.

Not sure if the tar is a demon at all. It may be a manifestation of Georgette's basic problem.

So is anyone else having issues getting to the newest page? Only reason I saw it was because I came to the forums, saw the name and decided to type in our-guest in the url and it ended up working.

Ya know, clotting blood is kinda black and tarry, like you see on plane crash victims....Can a mental image be so strong that it takes on an existence of it's own?

*edit* PS - there's a swimming pool in Jet's head?

The Tar is not supposed to be "in" there. No demon, apparently.

I'm considering the possibility, as first (I believe) noted by scantrontb, of the Nu-Gui branching out. Occam's Razor doesn't apply well to fiction, though ...

Not The Tar. Anger and Guidance.

It happens to people sometimes. Our best guess is ISP caching of some sort causes the slow update.

The 'and the TAR' make a nice distinction. It is apparent the TAR has been around for awhile as the demons are used to dealing with it. IF Monica and TAR showed up together they would not have known how to react to it. But both anger and guidance reacted right away to what it was doing.
So they are in C-Space (Covey Space). The home away from home for each covey of demons. I wonder who their interior decorator is?
Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.

Anger sounds angry...I suppose she can't sound any other way.

The tar is another invader...I wonder if Jet's been carrying it around since the plane crash? Or is it a more recent addition to her covey that ultimately resulted in her visit to Mucho Mocha, looking for Monica?

I'm really hitting the cronuts hard in confusion corner this week!

Covey of demons... Called it!!! Here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1189#p23312

Now that we know that Jet is another covey of demons, we need to figure out if Jet is still in there at all or if she'd given up the ship to the rats so to speak. My mind keeps going back to what Tina said about Jet's sister, covered in blood, but not her own blood... I can't shake the feeling that it was Jet's blood... the majority of it anyway... and that Jet either died and the rats took over, or she wanted to die and just gave up control to her demons.

We also need to figure out if she is the 'other' that Phix mentioned that was like Tina.

So, Monica and the Tar are outsiders in this closed system. The tar does seem Nu Gui like, doesn't it? But we know that the Nu.... gui... Wait a minute... hold the phone... A nu gui is formed from the soul of an innocent that is killed under violent circumstances. The nu gui isn't ready to move on... so it manifests as a malevolent entity... it can't be the nu gui we've already seen... that one never made contact with Jet OR Monica... so this has to be something created in that plane crash or picked up along the way somehow... According to Anger and Guidance, the Tar doesn't belong... they don't say how long it's been there or if it came in with Monica. I'm still leaning towards the Tar being all the emotions of greed, lust, want, need... manifesting into a malevolent entity somehow, similar to the nu gui.
You know that light at the end of the tunnel?

Yeah... it's a bullet. Sorry.

Monica has her cat marks.

Is she getting ready to go all Jaguar Girl on whatever she can finally get her claws into?

======================

Hmmm.

If this is Georgette 2.0 - and she's like Tina - then could the tar be a nu gui created from Georgette's true soul?

That is, Georgette died in the plane crash, rats took over the ship, etc. etc. - but Georgette herself died before her time.

And, perhaps, like all too many young models, her parents had (to a greater or lesser extent) coerced her into it.

And, so, having died because of being forced into something she didn't want to do in the first place, nu gui.

Just realised how Georgett's daemons all (extrapolating from the two we've seen) seem to be 'masks'. Quite appropriate for someone who lives in the limelight.

Check out this strip here where Tina states Jet's age at the time of the crash as 12 and catalogs Jet's injuries: http://wapsisquare.com/comic/your-whole-world/

Jet suffered bruising and both wrists broken. You might say her spirit was broken with the loss of her parents. Nu Gui's are formed at the death of an innocent... not necessarily an infant, right? Either Jet's loss of innocence and the loss of her parents created a nu gui, or her survivor's guilt created it.

No, what i'm saying is that maybe Jet died.

Just like Tina 1.0 died.

Died because of something she was forced into doing.

Perhaps Tina 1.0 didn't leave a nu gui because she wasn't an innocent...

Jet was twelve when her plane crashed.

Monica was fourteen when she ran in front of the bus.

I have the impression Monica is a bit older than Jet.

Perhaps two years?

Perhaps four people died - for however short an interval - on that day, not three?

Monica's expression in that last panel...plus her cat marks appearing. Plus, she's not looking at either of the entities who are speaking. She's thinking about stuff, putting things together.

I think she's about to stop reacting, and start acting.

And if the Tar is something alien to 'Jet's psychescape, then Mon is probably the only one who can deal with it...and that means that yes, she will thank Tina later.
