Not even duct tape can fix stupid. But it can muffle the noise.

It's about time the cicadas finally showed up!

Re: Seen on a wall today
Actually, i figure this one is an annual cicada - the brood that includes northeast Georgia did its thing a few years ago (or so the press said; i don't recall noticing anything), and the brood that includes Tennessee just finished.Atomic wrote:It's about time the cicadas finally showed up!

Re: Seen on a wall today
Fairportfan, I counter your cicada with Cicada Man.

Re: Seen on a wall today
Cicada man? Given that all he can do is fly, make a loud noise and attempt to reproduce, he's not much of a threat, really. Just think of the pokeman battle:
- Cicada man uses - Flutter
-- Fluttering has no effect
Cicada man uses - Whirr
-- Pleasant noise is admired from a distance
Cicada man uses - Copulate
-- Cicada man is rebuffed
-- Cicada man is defeated

Where I worked once, a place with poured concrete walls (Breuer architecture) a fly had crawled into a hole, and apparently saw no way out, so it simply died. The office worker decided to leave it there and see how long it remained. It lasted 5-10 years before it got cleaned up . . .

Re: Seen on a wall today
When I stepped into the tub for my shower this morning, a spider skittered out from its hiding spot between the tub wall and the shower curtain. When I was done profaning, I tried to capture it so I could release it outside, but it managed to escape into a crack between the bathroom floor and the baseboard.

Kate and/or Helen would retreat at speed from the bathroom, loudly demanding that i and/or Steve deal fatally with said offending arachnid and offer proof of said extermination before they would re-enter.MerchManDan wrote:When I stepped into the tub for my shower this morning, a spider skittered out from its hiding spot between the tub wall and the shower curtain. My spiders live in the drain, not the spigot. My son refuses to use the main bathroom any more because he's seen too many spiders in there...

My son takes after me...loves the arachnids, hates the webs.PrettyPrincess wrote:My spiders live in the drain, not the spigot. My son refuses to use the main bathroom any more because he's seen too many spiders in there...
We found a huge wolf spider yesterday, and he caught it under a glass and released it into the garden, where it today had caught an offensive bug that irritates me to no end--Horseflies.
Yanno how some people have Angels/Devils for a conscience? I have a Dark Elf ShadowKnight and a Half Elf Ranger for mine. The really bad part is when they agree on something.
