To me, this was the payoff for this long, wonderful story arc. Of course we have one more day to go this week and we don't know how Atsali will respond, but it is now my fondest wish for Friday to be all three headed for Wapsi Square!

She shoots... She Scores!!!
Kath took the additional twist of Castela better than I expected, though I'd say another adventure is juuuuuust beginning! Adventures in Parenting!
Um... Is Kath flashing upskirt in the next to last panel??!!

And we'll have one movie of the week happy ending to go please, with a large portion of schmaltz.
(but hey, that's okay.)

And Paul side steps all the drama and hard choices. Then wraps up all the potential problems in one fell swoop. Let's say yea for both the kids.
Apparently MIB knows more about what is going on in the orphanage than we thought and briefed Kathy about it before taking her there.

No. Paul doesn't do that type of fan service. He does Bikini's.DilyV wrote:

Holy smokes, look at the resemblance. It's almost like fate.
Also, shy Castela in the first panel? Second-cutest thing ever. You can guess what #1 is, I'm sure.

Seems to me that if you've just come through a terrible conflict with a horrible, vengeful, hateful power from the past, and have faced down fear, pain, death, blithe uncaring, and thoughtless manipulation ...Yamara wrote:Conflict is an ass!
... then the perfect response is to behave in the opposite of all of these ways. Exhibiting "greatness of heart" can be the best answer to the harmful deeds of the selfish.
Bravo, Katherine!

And not even that, in this story arc. Due to the nuclear explosion, there is no bikini at all to be seen.zachariah wrote:No. Paul doesn't do that type of fan service. He does Bikini's.DilyV wrote:Um... Is Kath flashing upskirt in the next to last panel??!!

Gahh! I think my ears are bleeding from all the squees from around the world.

Castela was starting to get cracks in her face in the first panel, but Kath stepped right up. Katherine Gilchrist just might be my new favorite character! Is Paul maybe thinking fo branching out with another strip? Hard to see how Kath could go back to being a mousey museum worker after this.

So, so nice! I hope she can handle the new family additions, will she have to get a new place to accommodate them?

I second that emotion...if Pickle told me she wanted the moon, I'd be in the yard with a lasso...MerchManDan wrote:Also, shy Castela in the first panel? Second-cutest thing ever. You can guess what #1 is, I'm sure.

Well, Katherine did say she wanted an adventure. Looks like shes got a great one --- for Life. Katherine Gilchrist. Atsali Gilchrist, Castela Gilchrist, yup, it works.

I'm pretty sure Mon still works at the museum, and she's one of the most powerful beings in this comic. Think of it as a superhero-secret-identity sort of thing: Mousey museum worker by day, Ass-kicking Adventurer by night.davids4250 wrote:Is Paul maybe thinking fo branching out with another strip?
