Little Atsali and the Dragon 2013-07-20
I like Sali. I hope her real adventure did not destroy her sense of wonder and her imagination.

This is so right for Sali. We can all see her as that happy kid running and playing in her world filled with imagination. I just hope that it survives the long and cold night while Kathy is trying to find her. I'm betting she will. Her kind of upbeat spirit is hard to keep down and even harder to kill.
Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.

Well, if this is canon, then the dark suspicions expressed by some about just how the Orphanage handles kids are probably unjustified.

Freaky. Tucked behind a mirror in the room used for storage at my parents house is a kite I made in elementary school with a dragon drawn it.

This could very well be before she was orphaned too... but it is good to see Sali happy...Fairportfan wrote:Well, if this is canon, then the dark suspicions expressed by some about just how the Orphanage handles kids are probably unjustified.
You know that light at the end of the tunnel?
Yeah... it's a bullet. Sorry.

As a kid, she's probably pretending it's her pet dragon. As a Mythic, she's probably pretending it's her pet dragon.

Somehow, I expect to see Calvin and Hobbes appear from just off-panel. If Calvin were able to overcome his distaste for little girls, the three of them could get into an incredible amount of mischief together - there's enough imagination between 'em to take them anywhere at all!

Hmmmm, I wonder if three are dragons in the Wapsiverse. That could make an interesting story.

We know there are giant squid/kraken (architeuthis), which look like an appetizer at a French restaurant compared to some critters out there (according to Euryale). So honest-to-goodness dragons are not completely ruled out.

Actually, I don't think I'd enjoy that site myself, but I don't think it'll happen.

In any case, the story was undoubtedly epic.
