She gives a good perspective onto Castela's fear.

In the early parts of this sequence, some readers were commenting that it was strange that an über-powerful being like Castela would be so afraid about being home alone. She could destroy any interloper or monster easily enough.

I guess that's the crux of her fear. She knows (as the Blackthorn) what it's like to be completely alone in eternity... been there, done that, doesn't want it again. She probably eventually anticipates that she's immortal, and will outlive and lose everybody she cares about (Jin's situation for a long time). And, she's so powerful that she could accidentally destroy everything, and find herself alone again.

No wonder she's freaked out... and all her power can't help with that.
