Possibly, "letting it all hang out" vertically, in an open courtyard (?), might be less destructive or painful than blasting out sideways at a solid wall.

I don't think her age was ever mentioned or implied, but given wat she is, I would guess she's probably much older than anyone here... and probably all of us together.
