Wait, what? Who pays for ringtones these days? o_O;

Or is being able to simply upload an MP3, WAV or OGG file from your PC to the phone into a folder called "Ringtones" on it's built-in "SD card" and selecting it as a ringtone an Android-only feature?

I'm mostly being lazy. :oops: I have an Android phone as well...and I've even downloaded a ringtone-maker app; however, I haven't set up my main computer that has all of my music on it (we moved in August...my excuse has been that we have a puppy who thinks that a) chewing on cords is fun, and b) pooping under my desk is the best...so my computer is in pieces on and under the desk, and the under-desk area is blocked off by large pieces of MDF board).

I'd hate to be next to you on a crowded bus when you got a call...
Not even duct tape can fix stupid. But it can muffle the noise.

I can just picture everyone in the subway car breaking into an impromptu dance number, just like in the musicals... :lol:

I'm the one who can't get my ringtones working right.

It's not that I'm stupid, or lazy (ok well some)...

...It's that I was given a windows phone.

I want my Zelda ringtones back.

Well, not Zelda by a long shot, but you may find these fun! The Rube Song is especially annoying.

From the recently defunct internet game Glitch. Sniff, sniff.....

Am I the only one who can't stand ringtone making programs? I
1. make the WAV file
2. load in Audacity and merge to mono if it is stereo
3. zoom in and crop it to the exact beat, not just X second
4. run it through the compression filter to make as loud as possible (some actually sound less distorted after doing it twice)
5. use LAME and encode to MP3 at 64kbps (same sound quality as a 128 stero file)
