This is why we don't have a big Christmas tree. After our first one climbed up the one we set up at our apartment, we chose to go with a Charlie Brown tree.

How do you tell which christmas tree is owned by the cat-owner?

The one that's only decorated from half-way up.

Maybe you should do a variation on a portal tree...

Only do the hang-down-from-the-ceiling part.

Oddly, the cats stayed out of the tree this year. Mom has pictures somewhere of one of them just lounging in it last year.

Or the one where it's partially made with cat-beds and cat-trees...because they'll NEVER use it. I actually have my son's tiny fibre-optic tree set up(not that we ever 'un-set' it), and add extra shiny in December. Cat ignores it. Figure eventually I can get a larger one and leave it for a while...eventually he will ignore any tree.
Yanno how some people have Angels/Devils for a conscience? I have a Dark Elf ShadowKnight and a Half Elf Ranger for mine. The really bad part is when they agree on something.
