Now Departed Cultural Icons

What happened to the Hamm’s Brewery sign?

On top of that, I recall the Doggy Diner's iconic Dog's Head (complete w/ Chef's Hat) adorning the fast food chains locations oh so many decades ago...

I once was told Vana Whitewall of Peoria Plaza Tire used to hold a big truck tire in her arm. Hooligans stole three of them before they gave up and stopped putting tires up there.

Personally, I am still looking around for some redneck in a comically large tricycle.

I suspect.

"Doggie Diner" is the bane of the existence of the Batwinged Hamburger Snatcher.

Dave knows.

And giggles. I treasure my copy of the original printed edition, with the full-color version of Magic Cookie Land at the end.

I must admit, though, I had never expected to see Ralph the All American Dog elected as President.

There was a really big stink when a new owner of one of the old locations went about trying to 'just get rid of it'- it was a site near San Francisco's Zoo* btw, and folks rallied to prevent the desecration.
