500 miles (and 900 years) of faces

Post by AnotherFairportfan »

This is wonderful.

Be prepared for a couple of guests about 3/4 through.

Be prepared to take an emotional hit about 1/3 in.

Be prepared to realise just how tight this whole crew were/are...

"Wonderful" barely starts it... I'm out of adequate superlatives for this.

There's a lot of people there who, I don't doubt, have memories that they will be able to bask in quite happily for the rest of their lives.

Yes. It is. No matter how many times one watches it...

By the way... you know how you click on a link, then follow another one, and another one, and so on?

I was surprised to see how much Dr. Who inspired music there is, on YouTube...

First, there's a band called Chameleon Circuit, who put out two albums of Dr. Who related songs. Several of those have received video treatment:

The Doctor Is Dying
An Awful Lot of Running
Exterminate Regenerate
Blink (Animated)
Blink (with clips from the show)
The Big Bang 2 (Animated)
The Big Bang 2 (with clips from episodes)
Gallifreyan History 101
Journey's End
Silence And The End Of All Things
Mr. Pond
Nightmares
Travelling man
Kiss the Girl
Teenage Rebel
Everything is ending
Everything is ending (lyrics)
The Sound Of Drums
K9's Lament
Type 40
Count the shadows
And here is a compilation of videos of the songs that make up the album "Still Got Legs". Some of the songs already appear in my list above, but some are not. The info below the video lists all the songs, and the time reference where they start.

Then, there's The Garos Studios who also have many Dr. Who inspired songs/videos (but I will only list a few, as this post is taking me a long time to write... They have many more...)
The Lonely God
Punishment
Eternity
Here We Go Again

Finally, I give you:
"Hey Missy" - Doctor Who Parody *Spoilers* [Hey Mickey] - by Legs Nose Robinson

OK, maybe not "finally"... But this is the last one; I mean it!
This one is for nostalgia's sake: Doctor Who: The Comprehesive Regenerations (1963-2016)

Then there was this one that most of the Whotaku hated back in 1988...

...and this one - though the connection is obscure ...

Woah ho! Talk about low budget!

The only connection I saw, was a face on the canvas, and a head shot at the end, that looked like it might have been the actor that played the first Doctor. Am I right?

Meanwhile, let's not forget that Rowan Atkinson once played the Doctor...

And here's another Comic Relief act, with Lauren Cooper and David Tennant...

And now, for something completely different, Rowan Atkinson is Spider-plant Man
