Interesting comic synchronicity

Today's Gunnerkrigg Court is interesting to contemplate...

Mr. Siddell has been doing his comic for almost as long as Pablo, if memory serves.

Checking the WS archive and WIkipedia (since the Gunnerkrigg archive doesn't show dates - at least not that i found on a quick glance), Gunnerkrigg began in April 2005, and WS began in September 2001.

Wow.

I'm seriously impressed with both creators.

When you get to a certain number of years doing a webcomic, you've pretty much reached the level of "BOY I've been doing this a long time."

Of course, Pablo's got nothin' on Howard Tayler.

Then again, NO webcomic artist has anything on Howard. Major illness, webserver literally catches fire, changing hosts... and he NEVER misses a comic.

Don't forget the hurricane and exploding transformer incidents. The man's comic buffer and hosting staff are both...most impressive. I think the latest that a comic ever went up (due to the aforementioned exploding transformer in his host's data center) was about 12 hours late - zero time in terms of the glacial pace of most hosting.
