Bah! I wasn't able to find my group leader before leaving work. I'll have to get the request form tomorrow.

Yeah, me too. I'd hate to come up there and not meet you...

So far we have:
Julie
Jabberwonky
Hansontoons
and me (if they don't approve the day off I'm calling in :P)

Am I missing anyone? I thought Opus the Poet was in DFW as well. Am I wrong/did he move? I want to get a head count because I am planning on bringing a surprise and want to be sure to have at least one for each attendee.

You weren't wrong. :) He's in the DFW area if he was referencing making the place accessible by DART. He just hasn't participated in this thread. We may need to let him know a bit more directly so he doesn't miss out on the chance to meet up. He's certainly got ride options other than DART ifin he's willing to show since I'm willing to give him a ride (assuming he's on my side of town). :)

I'm gonna be riding in from a long ways, I wouldn't mind putting a few miles in to make sure he's there.

I'm here! On the NE side of Garland, very close to Firewheel "Mall". If the venue chosen is not near a DART stop I will need to get a ride at least from the nearest DART stop to the venue.
I ride my bike to ride my bike, and sometimes it takes me where I need to go.

Baby Doe's has been closed for several years now. :( the Food was decent, but the parking lot was hell to get in and out of on my bicycle. There used to the a DFW-wide bike ride that ended there on Superbowl Sunday.

This Flying Saucer Draught Emporium?

(And if we're meeting in a Flying Saucer, does that mean Derpy Bud will be there?)
That location is accessible via the 400 DART bus, which leaves from Downtown Garland Station that I can get to via the 513. So I won't need a ride there, but I might need a ride home if we run late.

I will be wearing my hat.

I'm sorry, I'm not in Texas, but that last picture you (Opus) posted is hilarious. Your happy, rainbow tie-dye hat does not match your grumpy-looking, bearded face.
At all.
...
Which is awesome.

I also happen to live near said mall...so I could be convinced to give you a ride if you'd like. :)

Jasper will not be there. But she will Clint Eastwood stare a golf ball any day of the week. Just so happens this one had a Longhorn on it. It didn't last long... she has pointy teeth that shred Titleist balls like soggy lasagna noodles.

I must say that I, for one, will be slightly disappointed that Jasper will not be joining us...

Count me as disappointed, too...though I don't know how accommodating The Flying Saucer is to pets... :/

As much as I would like to bring The J, I don't think she would take a cotton to the three hour drive.

And the drool. The drool flows until she settles. And once it dries, it takes industrial strength cleaner to remove.

Plus she's never really been "out" in public, not sure how she would handle the excitement.

I understand all the reasons not to. The most important being will she enjoy it. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to meet her...
