Heh. Good catch. I didn't check the comic.

Some days, I don't know how I keep my proofreading license.

Well. Um, Mergenthaler must have used a different layout in that universe.

since y'all are fans of GG as well, i have a slightly off topic question (for THIS forum anyway)...

do you know of any translation guide for any of the Geisterdammen speech bubbles? i remember way back when they first appeared that the Phoglio's did say that it IS translatable but i've never seen any actually done yet, and since the last few pages have had more Geisterdammen speech than any I've seen in the past, do we maybe have enough for a crypto guy to crack the code yet???

New thread started by myself at the "Girl Genius" by Phil & Kaja Foglio forum of my site, Geisterdammen Translation:

Let me open this topic here. As scantronb mentioned, Phil hinted at translation. Anyone here have any ideas?
Let's see if my members have any input on this.
Please also consider this an invitation to check out the forum. Our daily discussions of GG date back to 2010-12-13. Be warned, however, you'll have to put up with FairportFan over there as well.

I'm pretty sure FPF frequents every webcomic ever. I see him all over the internet.
He's mister GlytchMeister, he's mister code
He's mister exploiter, he's mister ones and zeros
They call me GlytchMeister, whatever I touch
Starts to glitch in my clutch!

Looks like the work of Phillip M. Jackson, he draws "Sequential Art" and "Battle Bunnies". SA updates occasionally, BB hasn't updated in a while. Can find his work on Deviant Art. His forte is drawing anthropomorphic critters, mostly with huge... tracts of land. :D

It's fanart - from DA; that's Vanity Thorn, the goth poet.

I think he's on DA as JollyJack.

Yep.

This is Jackson on (i think) his birthday, 1994:

...and this is one of my favourite strips from his long-running "Sequential Art" strip (of which Vanity is a secondary denizen):

Yay! No more campaign bullshit until the midterm elections!

Now, to dread hearing the outcome tonight, then to block out all the conspiracy theories regarding the outcome. Why do I have a feeling we'll wind up with the same nonsense from the 2000 election?

Yeah. Now, we'll have to deal with all the claims and counterclaims of voter fraud (which wouldn't surprise me, there have been many proven cases), intimidation, faulty voting ballots, etc. I was hearing earlier tonight how some voting stations had to open late because of software problems, and so on... So many irregularities, so little time...

Sorry... a freshman Senator was observing speaking at a party gathering outside his state two weeks ago. ABC Radio said it was probably a feeler for a 2020 Presidential bid.
