Re: Holiday Nightmare Fuel...(you have been warned)
On my very first day when I was staying in Texas, I had just walked into my new quarters when I heard somebody softly knocking on the back door. I went to open it, and a tarantula larger than my hand came sauntering in. I figure he was just being sociable and greeting his new neighbour. He sat in front of the hearth for a little while, then turned and wandered back out the door and off to his little burrow.

I usually brush off stories of "camel spiders" (ranging from the size of dinner plates to manhole covers) as exaggerations, but I think maybe I'll give them a bit more consideration. Yikes; you can blow off a limb and it's still at 86% combat effectiveness.

Call in a tarantula hawk air strike!
Not even duct tape can fix stupid. But it can muffle the noise.
