Poor Kath... always landing on the bottom... Take some advice Kath... Don't move for twenty minutes unless you really have to... Let yourself rest. Atsali... you're WAYYYY inside Kath's personal space...

Poor Kath is probably wishing she'd never gotten that door open when she left the house this morning... And everyone wonders why she's reclusive!!!

Edit: That two days in a row I just happened to check back before hitting the sack and caught the strip with no thread posted yet. Wake up guys!!!

It looks like Atsali is emulating Monica... remember back around Christmas when she woke up on top of Nudge, complaining about pillows? Of course I'm sure Kath doesn't smell like wet goat... LOL

I imagine right about now Kath is channelling Sergeant Hulka in the movie Stripes after he fell from the obstacle when the mortar blew it up... he laid on the ground gasping for breath...

Consider, Atsali is an orphan. Kath has quickly become a mentor. I'm betting the poor girl is starved for any kind of maternal affection. And Kath is soft and feminine. I think what Atsali wants are busty mom hugs here.

Maybe Mayan, maybe Inca, Lantan, Olmec, or Aztec. All used that style of building can't see enough to pick. The shapes of the wall carvings resembles those cultures. Local vegetation appears to be Jungle. Given those this could be a smaller temple of the Jaguar rather than one of the larger ones. If they were communication centers than why not transportation centers as well. The Lantan tech has clues that they were capable of this. There is also the possibility they are no longer on earth. One of the tribes in the area Kath was in did just disappear leaving little or no trace of where they went. Best guess is they just migrated due to climate changes but in this universe they could have gone elsewhere.

I still think that, at age fifteen, Atsali is just about due for her first real girl crush.

Poor Kath. How is she even able to move still? There is far more to her than meets the eye. A normal person would be doubled over in pain unable to move any longer.

And Atsali, you would think with a wingspan like that she could have zipped through the portal and stopped herself from falling down those long stairs. Maybe even saved Kath the bruises her bruises have.

THen again, if I could land like that I'm not sure i would stop myself either.

And contrary to many, I think Atsali is more looking for that mom figure, not crushing on Kath. It's how most orphans my family has dealt with reacted to my mom when they stayed with us for short periods. Just mom, not crush.
