Rosslyn does just fine at stressing herself out . . . maybe Sofia is trying to keep Rosslyn moving instead of locking into a Modified Stationary Panic?

The only onomatopoeia I didn't notice was the tinkle of breaking glass, which probably means her parents were smart enough not to replace any glass on that particular stairway. Or anyplace Rosslyn could conceivably pass in a panic.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sofia had placed anything breakable in locations protected from Rosslyn or Andrew in a panic . . .
