On the other hand, Patton read Rommel's book, so there's that as an object lesson. Sometimes smart people don't bother learning, and things go down hill from there.

And Rommel had learned a lost of that from Basil Liddel-Hart, who was British . . . there was a lot of cross-fertilization in armored warfare about that time.

Of course, what I really want to know is how Hiroshi and Mindy are involved in this.
