Creepy.

Yeah; Katherine knows from creepy.

================

Hmmm. Seven.

Shelly's four, Tina's "key"/the blade ... that's five.

One was found again in the desert.

=======================

What does the other one represent, and where is it?

Nothing else to do.

Copy/paste title. type date. type a line or so. post quick. go back and add more later, maybe.

Creepy, yes.

Looks like a hybrid between Connie (our favorite Creepy Little Girl) and Mr. Yuk...

... all dressed up in an extra-large spun-sugar ice cream cone.

EDIT: Paul - there's a word missing in the non-dialog. "Five miles away they [??] his backpack". Found? Discovered? Unearthed? Resurrected? Fried? Chewed? Defenestrated?

EDIT again: "found" is good :)

I kind of doubt the Seven Samuari were involved...

Of course, I could be wrong.

there is a continuity error with coloring of the pic of her face-on to the camera... in yesterdays strip she's in a white top and takes off her jacket before sitting at the PC, yet in this pic she's got a black top on... though, in the right-side view lower on the screen, she's back to a white top.

well, if the kachina dolls are the same ones... then four are accounted for with Shelly, (i'm not counting the knife as one) there are two missing, and wherever the "baby" doll is i'm sure will be known to us soonish.. i'm putting some Moxana points on the "Ancestor Baby" being EITHER Bia, OR Katherine... and i can't wait to find out about the missing two dolls...

And to check the intersection between the Wapsiverse and The Real World I Googled Orson Miller and all I found was a mushroom hunter from Boise ID that died about 30 years too late from cancer to be the same Orson Miller.

Shelly has seven half titan half sphinx brothers...

(I've often hoped that they each have one exceptional ability, one exceptionally strong, one exceptionally fast, eyesight, hearing, etc.)

Anyone else think that Kachina doll bears a striking resemblence to Katherine? Part of me is saying to poke it with a pin and see if she feels it... but I'm not that mean.

Wonder if Katherine has ever met Tedd from El Goonish Shive?

Image

(Tedd's eyes don't normally look like that, though.)

It (or they) may not be in the same area, and possibly not even in this part of the world.

Based on what Brandi said not long ago, there is likely a connection between the Mapimi desert / silent zone, and the Vimana world-grid shield. We know that the grid is a worldwide phenomenon or system, we know that it involves the use of vimana cells at its nodes... and we know that the use of weaponized vimana cells was recorded in some of the ancient Indian epics. So, I halfway expect that this quest may involve searches not only in Amerind First Nation territory (the American southwest and/or Mexico) but also in the subcontinent of India.

If a big steaming bowl of spicy kachina dahl is ever offered up to one of the characters, I'll know I was right.

Looking at the doll I immediately think of Kats or Tina. I'm inclined to not say Tina because her role is already pretty clearly defined in all of this at this point, though I won't rule her out completely as roles have (obviously) been known to change. But looking also at the page's layout, particularly the image of the doll as related to Kats looking at it on the screen, the link seems apparent, though I'll finger quote "seems".

It will be interesting, in any event, to see how this doll will affect the WS universe.

Edit: though in going back for a second read, based on the name of the doll alone, I can't rule out Shelly, either, though it would be a bit of a stretch. But the four dolls we know of so far represent Monica, Brandi, Bud, and Jin, yes? So those four, two unknown, and ancestor baby. With the influx of characters lately, it's really up in the air and too early to call it, I guess, but I'm still leaning with my first take of it.

Do wonder if the two missing ones might be the vamp ladies or someone else...

So...Miller himself was never found? Not sure I like the sound of that.

I'm glad everyone else also thought of the other set of interesting dolls we've seen. If they're related, there's at least one more to find. (From before: the three Golem Girls, Monica, the key-holder, and now this baby; that's only six. Mayahuel or Bia, at a guess.)

Shelly plus her seven brothers is a good suggestion; I hadn't thought of that idea. For somebody not yet proposed, how about the Shelly's Companion, the Creepy Girl? The little doll is creepy, all right.
