Tsillah, not fazed at all... Nudge has that wan little grin... Pratt and McBride are still looking on in abject terror... I hope they brought a change of undies... o.O

Don't know if anyone has already said this, but is there a limit to Monica's phoenix rebirths? Say the same # as calendar cycles(since that's the reset point)?

Not even duct tape can fix stupid. But it can muffle the noise.

I notice that Pratt has regained consciousness. And those who voted in favor of P and McB hiding in the stacks get a no-prize. Excelsior!

Tsillah does have a way with youthful understatement and whimsy, doesn't she? "Grouchy pants" while shadowing in an upside-down position, fercryinoutloud!
She reminds me more than slightly of Little Frieda, in this respect and others.
EDIT: Slightly ominous, though, as she seems to be making the point that this is a new being, newly awakening... not just Monica with new abilities and powers. Apparently whatever has happened is a big, fundamental change! How much of this new subTitan is Monica, and how much is Something Else, could be a very important question in the months to come

This strip is sub-titaned for the hearing impaired. (Prepares to spend the rest of his life paying the pun jar for that one.)

AFAIK from the comic M is effectively immortal. She can get old and die, but always returns to the state she was at the time of the destruction of the calendar machine. No limits on resets, unless someone manages to get the phoenix blood out of her system somehow.bdgoodfriend wrote:Don't know if anyone has already said this, but is there a limit to Monica's phoenix rebirths? Tsillah's strength is shadows, not math. But never mind. Going out to get coffee is a good idea - and there's only one important coffee shop in Wapsi Square!

The dolphins swimming near Monica's former sand-strip will appreciate that. After that titanic-sub explosion killed all of the fish, they've been herring impaired.Lee M wrote:This strip is sub-titaned for the hearing impaired. True but Tina is definetly NOT going to deliver to the Library. THe Vamps get to become gophers.Wyvern wrote:Tsillah's strength is shadows, not math. But never mind. Going out to get coffee is a good idea - and there's only one important coffee shop in Wapsi Square!
Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.

Gophers are better than mosquitoes, right?

I think the vamps will NOT become gophers. I'm not sure how Tina would react to vampires in her shop. so far, these vampires have been having a rough day and going to see Tina may not be a good thing.

I hope there will be an audio version for any people on nearby fishing boats that looked directly at the flash and are now fishin' impaired.Dave wrote:The dolphins swimming near Monica's former sand-strip will appreciate that. Me too! Mostly because I'd like to know what she thinks of vampires in general.

She may have seen it coming or at least seen potential hints of it? "Sunshine" is probably glowing like a whole sun, on the aura level that Tina can see!donoho wrote:Can't wait to see Tina's take on current events.

I notice that McBride has fallen to the floor. I suppose that's only polite, in the circumstances.Opus the Poet wrote:I notice that Pratt has regained consciousness.
Also if this is the first appearance of this "class" of being in a million years, it explains why the Library has no modern-language word for it. "Sub-Titan" struck me as an unusual word-construct-- good to see there's a logical reason for that.
