Just keep those snakes in check, Euryale, and c'mon over here. I'll give as good as I get.

A hug and smooch from Euryale would make my Christmas Eve, for sure!

Eeeeee! I totally want this as my holiday card next year!!

(I *am* a hugger, it'd make my friends giggle. And probably worry my family, which is the other main goal of the holidays, right?)

Even a Euryale hug would probably do less damage than one Shelly would give.

You think our bomb-Shel can't be tender? I wouldn't mind being the test subject (as long as Justin/Epimetheus doesn't mind) for this theory ;-)

She may be a hugger, but it's the kissing you'll stick around for.

Heh. Today's [http://www.gocomics.com/9chickweedlane/2012/12/24]9 Chickweed Lane[/url].

For those not familiar with 9CL (or Pibgorn, Brooke McEldowney's online-only comic, which also has a fine Xmas Eve page up...), but who might be interested, below is a guide to the characters:

Image

Names above the picture are 9CL cast members - Edie Ernst, who is Juliette's mother (and thus Edda's grandmother) appears in her World War Two role as a USO singer and Allied Intelligence agent. Isabel is 9CL's resident vamp - a piano player who tried to steal Edda's childhood sweetheart. Juliette teaches graduate-level biosciences. Edda is a ballerina. Sister Caligula was headmistress at "Saint Godzilla's" (St Camilla's), where Edda and Amos attended school.

Solange is, of course, sale-explanatory.

============================

Below the picture are names of Pibgorn cast members. Oognat is a hair fairy. Ever wake up with inexplicable hairs in your mouth? You had a visit from the hair fairy. Satori is a Real Girl (more or less, these days) who began as a computer game character. Very quick and quite deadly with her katana. Her current appearance was designed by her computer-geek boyfriend (Roger) who confessed to it being basically an anime-style Mrs Peel look. Drusilla is a succubus, and diligent in her job responsibilities. (One wonders where her right hand is.)

And Pibgorn is a dew-drop fairy who got tired of her lot in life and fell in love with a human. (Oognat and Pib are both normally about three inches high, but can become human-size when they want to.)

=====================

...and the rather-harassed-looking fellow at the drawing board is Brooke McEldowney, who seems a bit nervous about Dru's intentions with that mistletoe.
