What IS she?

Some kind of demon, 'twould appear ... but what kind?

If all the flowers in her speech balloons mean more than "cheerful tone of voice", perhaps she is a flower-associated nature spirit of some sort? A form related to dryads?

Those could be seed pods rather than horns... ;)

EDIT: Paul says she's an oni (one of the many types of Japanese yokai).

The kind who doesn't need to ask for help getting something off the top shelf, clearly.

Then there are other web comics she could work at if they were still updating, like Shortpacked, or Rule of Three, or Punch and Pie. Lots of topstock in toy stores to keep it out of the hands of the kids. :ugeek:
