How do you walk down an empty hallway and suddenly end up in the boiler room?

I wonder if it's significant... yesterday, as she was walking down the hall, we saw two frames in which she was happily walking along with her eyes closed.

She wasn't watching where she was going, at all.

Could this be some sort of Schrödinger's Cat sort of thing? She's not securely in one place or the other, unless she's looking at the place, or someone is looking at her?

Or, maybe, she's prone to inadvertently teleport if she's not talking to someone. "It goes without saying", as it were.

In any case, this new character brings all sort of Hilarity Ensues potential... if she doesn't turn the school into a gravitational or topological singularity by accident.

OK this lends more support to my "Walks across dimensions" hypothesis. Only this case it seems that unless she walks with her eyes open she's liable to end up anywhere and it is only by exerting conscious control over her direction does she remain where she wants to be.

Perhaps she's able to fully enter the Nether? Or else her wandering mind wanders about through the Akashic Record, causing the needle on the player to skip on occasion.

I don't know about her going to the Nether. I didn't see her light any fires inside a portal made of obsidian.
There is no such thing as a science experiment gone wrong.
