Well played Sir.

I suggest we reference the film 'Roxanne' w/ Steve Martin. While he may not be anyone's given cup of tea, the film had a sequence where he challenges himself to a certain number of " I can insult myself better than You just did..." type one liners...

I've yet to watch Roxanne, though I do have it on DVD... but I have watched a similar scene in Cyrano de Bergerac, with Gerard Depardieu (it comes with subtitles), and it was quite an impressive rant, which I appreciated even more, being able to listen to it in French directly.

Vincent Price's Dr Phibes series (two movies) were really slick romcom/horror at the time with some pretty good special effects. Worth the popcorn on a rainy day if you like that sort of thing. Haven't seen them in ages, but they were regulars on the Late Late Show tv back in the day, along with all the Martian Invader & monster movies of the day.

Quite so... some of his more memorable performances. I was also fond of "The Raven" with Price, Peter Lorre, and Boris Karloff which had just the right touch of tongue-in-cheek to it.

Wikipedia notes that there were several more Phibes sequels considered, but none of them were ever produced. I heard about one that they don't mention, in which the evil Dr. Phibes kidnaps a group of his enemies, carries them off into the Himalayas, and abandons them on a plateau to freeze to death.

He arranges their bodies in a semicircle, with a giant statue of himself in the center, creating a huge sun-dial. That way, every day that the sun shines, he (literally and symbolically) casts his shadow on those that he hates.

The working title of the story was "Dr. Phibes and the Abominable Gnomon". It's a shame it wasn't ever filmed; I'd have gone to see it.

For today I thought I'd go back and reference a bit of Fan Art I did a few years ago... a Wapsi/Pooh mashup with Tigger (Monica), Pooh (Shelly) and Piglet (Bud).

Today's special number is "treed", of course.

Now that you mention it, Beuna Vista in San Francisco, touts da Dew; they say they are the first instance of Irish Coffee on the North American Continent.

I have a habit of taking both in & out-of-towners there and the wait staff had a habit of stringing the phrase together; 'TillamordoitsLightandSmooth' ... I think we had her repeat that three or four times. :)
