Somehow, the thought of an Eldritch Horror freaking out because of a bug {or whatever} in her hair...

I would be more concerned about what was lifting her off the ground by her hair, notice the feet in the last panel.

We don't know for certain that there was only one bug. She might have run into a bunch of them in the woods.

In fact I suspect that's just what happened, and that's why she's dancing around. Consider the reactions of the others... you could easily caption them as "I saw her standing there", "Hold me tight", "I want to hold your hand", "Don't bother me"...

... it's clearly a "meet the beetles" situation.

Because that pun was bad... you need to take a walk across Abbey Road.

Personally at that age having my girlfriend setting straddle of me would have been viewed as a good thing.

Though the only one of her friends who we've seen be let in on Castela's secret is her long-time best friend Daylla, and even that was after years of hiding the truth. Hiroshi only found out because he was an innocent-seeming butterfly at the time he was hanging out with her, and we don't know if he told anybody else. It's likely that the kids and Valerie just think of Castela as being very tough and strong, but not to the levels that she's actually capable of. . .and not the whole "blast a mountain away with a burst of plasma" thing.

Hmmm... Timmy at least seems to know something about Pickle's true power rating... and his comment seems to suggest that he expects Scarlet is aware of this as well.

I don't know, maybe Shawna's looking for an excuse to get on top of her?

Also, Valerie needs a hug or two. Digit can give her a couple at once.

EDIT: Dang it, now we need a pin up of Digit with her extra arms outstretched and offering free hugs.

Timmy's comment could just be commenting on Castela being strong and clumsy/twitchy, even without knowing about her full strength. Remember that everybody took it pretty casually when Atsali slammed Castela into a wall hard enough to shatter it, and Atsali's power apparently isn't considered all that special as far as predator-class paranormals go. Even mid-level paranormals can be rather destructive.
