Simple, poit Nudge to Lake Calhoun to cool for a moment then back to the museum. The sudden cooling should shatter any associated lava, leaving you with a gravel and mostly sand disposal.

Nudge's problem will be with lava stuck in her fur. A comb won't work, she might have to be sheared. Could end up looking like a poodle.

I'd hope that Nudge, being reasonably sentient, would not need the headcone. Besides, it might mess up the look.

Another note: at no time during her little tirade at Monica did Nudge say ANYTHING related to burning or the like. This supports the "possession" theory.
